How to Convert 48v DC to 220v AC (5 KVA)

- Dear viewers, In today's video I will show you 48v DC to 220v AC output. Normally I could have used a 48v inverter but inverter doesn't have long life and also not feasible for heavy load. The alternator could be driven by any engine but the noise and pollution would be a big factor. Since my channel is always green technology oriented so here I have used a high torque DC motor in place any engine.
Description of appliances used in this project:
1. Heavy duty single phase Crompton alternator.
2. DC motor 48v 3000w with controller.
3. Pully and belt (2:1)
4. Main DC source 48v 50Ah battery.
At 1500-1600 rpm the alternator works properly.

Before electronics, DC to AC converters were made like that as single units with the DC motor AC generator in the same housing. Efficiency is low 50-60% only, even a cheap inverter is better, but a real generator handles peak loads much better (Welding and pumps) and you can also use a 3 phase generator, something that is expensive if you need to buy a 3 phase inverter.
A very expensive lesson to learn last year...I burned up the power and control boards in my Aims inverter charger running my inverter welder last year. Cost me $320 and then I had to fix it myself. So this year when I needed a skillet rest on the wood stove I went and got a new Winco Lil Dog generator. Now I can use my welder. I got a single phase generator because I don't like the idea of having an inverter generator running an inverter welder. You are correct. I'm going to be building a wind generator.

What is your dc motor capacity and ac generator. It is in efficient system huge power loss in controller and ac generator.
The whole thing can done by a 48v inverter circuit with minimum loss and with no moving parts.

Yes there are more efficient way of doing it, but have you ever yried to price up a system that can handle 10kw?
With some beefier parts thus system can be scaled up to handle peak loads.
Then fall back to a 3kw inverter from r base loads.

I want to setup
15KVA Power Plant.
there should be install electronic speed governor, who equalize the speed of the motor automaticaly when load increases and decreases, by connecting with throttle. No one can sit with throttle to increase or decrease the speed.

Good idea but energy losses are more not energy efficient this thing can be done by DC to AC inverter circuit that is more efficient and economical

It will not work. Just it is waste of money and time
5kva transformer size is considerably bigger than as shown. Also the motor should be more than 5kva capacity to be able to supply that much mechanical power.

Inverter is more economic in all means. What about heavy mech losses. Design machines with minimum losses. No load losses in inverter is less than 3 ℅ . What about noise distortion

Inverter is more efficient due to absence of moving parts. If you are using DC to run a motor connected to generator, you are going to lose some energy at each point.
So it's better to use inverter to directly convert DC to AC using transformer and power transistors.
