Hey everyone! I wanted to clarify a few things I said in this review. The first is that the display does turn off automatically after a few minutes of shutting down my PC, so you don’t need to use the remote to turn it off or on, as it also comes back on automatically when I boot up my PC. Also, It was pointed out to me by a viewer that the reason it shows two inputs, HDMI 1 and 2, is that there is a 2nd HDMI port inside the housing, but it’s not accessible. Thanks for watching!
For us Canadians, just be aware shipping is 110$ and expect import fees on top of this as much as this display looks good. You're looking at almost 1000$ all in. Great review 👏
The display has a great looking for sure. I would say the size is it’s most downside, but if it can fit it on your rig, it’s a great addition, IMO. The other negative is the cables, 3 for a display, it’s a bit too much. But if it permanently seats on your setup, you should be good. Otherwise, the display quality is overall very good, as all GRID’s products. A side note: I always smile when a UA-camr that receive free products to ‘review’ said he’s free to say what he wants. Who’s going to say a product is not good if he wants to continue to receive (as gift) more products to review? At the moment you get a free product in exchange of a review, your freedom is gone.
Agree three cables could be a negative to unplug all the time if you switch it frequently but not a big deal if this is a permanent solution. As for your comment on free products for review, I get it. It's hard to know if someone is really giving their honest opinion, but I can tell you this personally. I was paying for my own stuff long before ever receiving something for review. Growing the channel and providing honest reviews to my viewers is more important than getting free stuff. If a company wants to stop sending things because I gave some honest feedback, then so be it, as it goes against what I'm trying to do with the channel.
Sim racing den could you please make a video on recommendations for beginner pc setups. I’m a real car person looking to get into a VR sim setup. Your videos have been very informative but I find the computers themselves very daunting. I’m not sure what power or how much I realistically will need to spend to have something of decent quality for this purpose.
$500 is pricy for a dash. Get a cheap Android tablet for $80 that can do the same thing with Simhub over wireless connection. There are tons of free dashboard for Simhub. Only issue is that you have to figure out how to mount the tablet above your wheel. I cut out a peice of sheet metal and bolted it to wheel mount then velcroed the tablet to the plate. Works great.
@@simracingden I run two tablets using Simhub and never once had a problem. But hey, we all like using different stuff and I for sure like watching video of different stuff on the market, so thank you for video!
There are many different dash templates; this was just one example. Others, the speed is bigger, or you can customize any templates to your liking if you know your way around Simhub.
No its not compatible with the Moza wheels to my knowledge but maybe contact GRID to double check. You may be able to find some custom way to mount it to your rig though. How do you like your Moza R9 and what sim is your favourite?

Great review 👏
Good point! I calculated shipping to Ontario to be around $50, but you will likely have import fees on top of that.
@The SimRacing Den their website to NB is 110$ I don't understand why 50$ more 😆
@@taxi615 I don't understand NB is technically closer to Europe, right? 🤣
@The SimRacing Den exactly lol my sprints had free shipping and came from Scotland

Turn the brightness down a little more on your wheel for the videos. It overwhelms the rest of the view
Thanks for the feedback! 👍🏻 Will do for future videos.
Thanks for the honest review ! 🏁🏁🏁

Hey! This is great suggestion. I'll look into doing something on building a PC for different sim racing scenarios at some point. Thanks for watching!
Great review. It seems like a really cool optional dash for the person that has everything or is a Porsche fan. As you said. Keep up the great work.
@@billgulker6187 Thanks for watching!
Just FYI the second HDMI input is part of the main circuit board but for some reason Grid covered that up with the outer case so you can not access it
Ok makes sense was wondering about that.
Nice gloves my friend! great content and can't wait for more.
Thank you!!

Yes that can be a great lower-cost solution, but I never liked using Simhub over wireless connection personally.

Also the SPEED is very very little displayed, is there a way to make speed bigger ?

Compatible with a moza r9 ?

Does it stress CPU and/or GPU ?
No not really its very minimal.
do the have a dash for nascar
It's compatible with any Simhub dash templates I’m sure there are some that are great for NASCAR.
