Thank you, Iris, for this video! I'm trying to relocate from southern Pennsylvania to northern Virginia to be closer to my girlfriend, and I have been in teaching for the past 3 years and already feeling burnt out and looking into other interests now. I had to resign from my teaching position I just had due to the school board cutting it down to part-time, and now I don't have a job and have been looking for a few months. So, on a practical level, I need a job somewhat quickly (but not desperate), and this video has helped me to refocus on my priority right now, which is to get to VA. Once I'm there and have a job that is good enough for my needs and wants, I can give more time to informational interviews in my other areas of interest because I won't have to think about the practicality of an income while doing them!
“What’s the root cause of your dissatisfaction?” What a good question to ask!! I feel like it can be so easy to find yourself in a new situation with the same problems if you don’t look under the surface.
Thanks Danielle. I love the way you put it: "if you don't look under the surface". So easy to skip that part, but it's so important! Appreciate your comment!
