- There's a lot of crazy stuff that's in Red Dead Redemption 2 but nothing is as crazy as the finer details that only a very % small percentage of players will see or ever know about. In this RDR2 video, I will be going over the useless facts about Red Dead Redemption 2.

Knowing everything we talk about in this video will not make you a better player but will show you the lengths in which Rockstar Games went to when developing Red Dead Redemption.

I agree. Can you just imagine gta after red dead 2, the amount of content we’ll get whether it’s side missions like red dead had, the random people missions and even the Easter eggs but all in a gta. The graphics would be so good too. I wouldn’t mind waiting a few more years from now.

I also thought he had 3 love interests. He used to also like Abigail. There is proof in his journal when he said something similar to this “I wish I made a move before that fool came.” John is the fool. But yes he also had a son with the second love interest
I highly doubt Abigail was another love interest to Arthur however in his journal he say he should have married Abigail and fill in as a father to jack back then marriage was different than it is today marriage sort of forced you to take care of the person if that makes sense

It was just a comment meant to show Arthur thought she was a good woman. Not much more to read into
Arthur was more so projecting his disdain towards John by saying that. Since he practically raised Jack with her in the latter's year longabsence
i watched a video that talked about cut content from guarma. there was a mission with a woman (actually looks a lot like mary) where you go out in a boat with her. i dont know if it was romantic at all but i thought it would’ve been nice. i really wish they hadn’t cut all the guarma content. without it, i think the guarma missions are so short and meaningless that they make the whole experience pointless and just an excuse to loose the money from the bank. i highly recommend the video i watched. it was the rdr2 iceberg explained i think. it talked about cut content which i thought was really really cool. turns out, originally arthur had a new born in the opening scenes where davie dies. but the baby freezes to death. this newborn was meant to be issac i think. i think that would’ve been so much more tragic in it’s own way because we see arthur loose his child but also i think it’s really effective by not revealing the fact that he had a son until near the end. i think if it was shown at the start when arthur’s less caring and the player doesn’t know his character then it wouldn’t be such a big deal. also for second time players, it makes jacks fishing mission so much cuter because you get to see how great arthur is with kids. i understand why rockstar cut this from the game because it makes the whole thing more effective
The fact that you can pull out your binoculars and observe completely realistic and natural wildlife interactions is just insane to me

It's all pretty much scripted i think. In every one of my playthroughs i see the bear fighting wolves on ambarino. Breaks the inmersion
Useful fact: aiming a weapon at an npc then shooting kills them 👍

It took me 195 hours to get 100% completion, but I wasn’t aware of the camp upgrade to fast travel until the Epilogue. I hadn’t played the first game until recently. I finished the main story and side missions for RDR1, I have almost 90% completion currently. For a second VOD note some of the changes within West Elizabeth and New Austin between games. Example you can enter more buildings in Blackwater in the RDR1 vs 2. Good work!

I got something like 98.4% then found out I somehow skipped the course of true love last mission where you ride the Braithwaite and Grey couple out of town. Was no way I could fix it. I've been playing again, though I've played most of it multiple other times.... biggest pain to me was the challenges and algernon wasps plants! Enjoy! 🙃

Fun fact: a rumor is for Arthur’s second interest it was supposed to be a new camp member called Eliza from Guarma who the gang picked up when there but was scrapped however a picture of her can be found on a poster in Lowrys basement
I think they tinkered around with trying to make a couple versions of Eliza work as there was also rumored to be a time when Arthur's son with her froze to death in the game's opening but that was deemed to be a little to dark / heavy so they changed it. It was also supposed to lead to a sort of mental breakdown of Eliza's character who runs off multiple times over the course of the game and you're sent to get her. There are cut dialogs people found in the pc files. Strange man has a video on it.
@@HorTyS the part of them freezing to death could have been a part of the Blackwater escape because according to a person who worked on Red Dead 2, it originally started before the Blackwater Massacre and you witness it then escape into the mountains then the next chapter which ended up being chapter 1 begins

@@Private.Willie.Stroker yes you can find a couple frozen together holding the panoramic map, though I believe that is unrelated. there's also a frozen corpse next to the chest with the petrified wood.
I find something new about the game every day. I’m playing it through for the third time now. I had a random event that I’ve never experienced before. When you’re playing as Arthur, if you spend enough time out of camp, the camp members will actually go look for you. I was playing at the time in which the camp was in Shady Belle. I was spending a lot of days in the north. I eventually came back to Saint Denis to finish up some challenges. Javier actually met up with me between Lagras and Saint Denis. He explained that Dutch was worried and Javier offered me to ride back to camp with him. This gave me the option to fast travel to Shady Belle. Did a lot of people experience this? If so, idk how I missed it. Ive never seen anything about this event happening either.
I think most people don't go across this event. I've spent long times without going back to camp but this never happened to me. found out about it earlier today watching a RDR2 detail video

Didn't have this event but I saw Charles riding on the road and I followed him and came across an ambush from O'Driscolls and he helped me
I had no idea this was a thing! The only encounter I’ve experienced similar to this is the encounter when Javier finds you to tell you Bill’s been captured. I haven’t seen that encounter in a while though so it might actually have been in camp? I seem to remember it being outside Horseshoe Overlook though.

@@kriskater Nah I doubt they'll make a third instalment coz we aren't too invested in Jack's story (John's son) journey going onwards. Would love them to continue it but at this point they'd probably have to make new IP in the vein of Red Dead Redemption or make a alternate story like what they did with the original Red Dead Revolver and the Red Harlow story. Since some of the characters they could have built around die in RDR1 or did not exist yet like with Sadie and Charles who who go to south America and Canada respectively. But yeah you never know. Given the quality of writing for RDR1 and RDR2 they could pull off a continuation of the Jack story and make us as invested as we became in Arthur. Coz originally we all became so invested in John from the RDR1 days but Arthur ended up eclipsing him as a character in RDR2
@@TheOnlyTaps no I agree completely . Yeah it would technically be red dead 4 because this was the 3rd game in series . A new setting and characters in the old west would be perfect . I’d love the opportunity to be a relentless bad guy or something to that effect
@@kriskater Yeah true. And yep, I'm the same, I'm skeptical but I'd happily love a new instalment. There's just something so calming and chill about the Western setting. Especially how they executed RDR2 it's a damn near perfect game. Easily the best open world experience we've ever come across in gaming as a whole. And they'd easily pay the attention to detail it's due respect.
What made me fall in love with the game wasn’t even the gameplay, it was the story. I don’t play a lot of games but I find it extremely rare to find a game with a better story and narrative than RDR2, it’s so engaging and beautiful

I feel the same way brother. I'm a very bust husband, dad and grandfather but when I started to play rdr2.... man was I hooked by the story and how side missions just fit the environment of the game.

The thing I don’t like about the voice lines is when you shoot someone’s leg off, or drag them with the lasso, the scream sounds the same for all NPCs, no matter their normal voice.
Cause they are channeling the wilhelm scream

maybe instead of rereleasing GTA5 rockstar could release A version of RDR2 with all the cut content, or atleast add a DLC that lets you play cut missions.

Life got in my way and I stopped my first playthrough on day one. I played for about 10 hours and never went back till Thanksgiving this year. I'm hooked and still shocked I had this game for years and never finished. I'm about 20 hours in and this game made me realize how good games can be. Completely immersive. Playing on a ps5. Feel like a idiot for letting this sit on my shelf for so long. Rdr1 I consider top 5 greatest game ever made and I let rdr2 sit on a shelf for 3 years. Now I'm back in other games look boring and cheap. This game is a masterpiece. No spoilers please.

Me too I just bought RDR2 😂 I feel dumb for being stubborn when it came out. When it released I told people I'll just get it in a couple months and I forgot about it for 3 years. I have like 4 newer games I haven't touched since I got RDR2, I can't believe I waited this long to play this masterpiece, I just got to chapter 4.
@@stpbasss3773 RDR1 I consider one of my fav games of all time. I could not wait for this game but realized quick I didn't have the time investment with a new GF at the time. I put it down. It sat for 3 years. I finally picked it up Thanksgiving and I'm playing it daily. Sucks because you have to be careful of spoilers and massive click bait on YT. They even use Photoshop in the thumb vids. So I'm going mostly blind. Excellent game. Sucks it sat so long for me but I'm glad I actually picked it back up and thinking it's def going to be one of my fav games ever.
@@MURD3RWAVE my only tip (not a spoiler) is to look up the story missions list and WAIT to do the last one until you're done with checking everything out in that chapter. Just so you don't miss something. There's a handful of cool little things that are only available at certain times.
This is the best game ever created in my opinion. After playing this game, no other games measure up to this masterpiece. I wish I could erase it from my memory so I can play it all over again from scratch. Such a perfect game, WAY better than GTA (unless your a 12 year old).

The craziest detail I think is the fact that when you have bullets in your revolver if you fire it then those will appear empty if you look at the gun from the barrel perspective

Arthurs second love interest is mary because his first was eliza who he had a son named issac to
(they both were murdered during a home robbery and when arthur visited he found them both dead)
There is a secret dialogue if you help rainsfall that he mentions them in a conversation
It's hard to say if Eliza was a true love for Arthur or a girl he knocked up when he was young and dumb. The dialog and game notes lean more on the latter.
Did you know that if your on the border of Mexico in rdr2 you’ll hear the horn sound effect from Mexico in rdr1, pretty cool right?

Very good video, and I would like to be able to talk online instead of the stupid emotes. The story mode is better than RDO will ever be, and I would have liked the DLC’s we were promised, and they could have kept the online game. Thanks for another great video.

The day rdr2 blew mind was they day I accidently shot my gun in some woman's garden, so she turned somewhat aggressive telling me to leave etc and the dog got aggro cause she got aggro. Then a few in game days later I went to the same area, there was now a man sat on the porch with the dog, but the dog recognised me and started barking prompting the man to say "I don't know who you are mister but you need to leave" or something like that. So clever how the npcs work.

In my opinion they only people that will beat Red dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar themselves with GTA 6, here's hoping.

The story of read dead makes you feel for the characters who die without having to know much about them

6:49 when you say “bucks fighting each other” they actually aren’t fighting instead one of the bucks is already dead and the alive buck got their antlers tangled in it, an even more interesting detail of this all ready amazing game

Arthurs other love interest...Sadie maybe, they think a lot of each other, so much that it's them and them alone that rescue John, go after Abigail and Arthur is who she trusts when it comes to finishing off the O'Driscolls
arthur is my all time favorite video game protagonist (as well as rdr2 being my favorite game). rockstar did an amazing job forming a connection between him and the audience and because of that everything feels so real. i've played story mode over and over again and still every single time manages to be different and more emotionally captivating. absolute gold💖
Graham Greene (sorry if I misspelled) is a great actor, and I never knew he was part of red dead, tbh I didn't really know him by name until now, but recognized the picture immediately from some of his roles on TV shows

So more info in the average time to beat the game, a sort of test was run, and if turns out on average it takes a new player that isn’t following a specific path ( so doing whatever they want in whatever order they want ) around 2 weeks to beat the game
Speed run for 100% rdr2 is around 36 hours (I believe)

Red dead redemption 2 is a great game with a great story-line but R* is focusing on gta more and give us the bare minimum for updates it’s kinda disappointing that such a great game that took so long to make barley gets any good updates 😔
Both the LeMat and Navy revolvers in game are cap and ball models, yet they are loaded like regular guns

The thing about the games that are coming out now is the fact they are rushed and aren’t fixed when it come to bugs and details. Red Dead was great because it took and while to make but that just made it better

Why is it that at a certain point when you visit the fence in Emerald Ranch he's all banged-up and angry at you? It's happened on every playthrough and I never once started trouble anywhere near him. I presume it's some plot twist that was cut out, and it doesn't really matter to how you go through the game, but it's weird.
Perhaps Seamus' Cousin by Marriage works out that he is behind the robbery of his house and coach during the mission where you first unlock him, and roughs Seamus up as a result, which Seamus blames you for as he thinks you messed up and gave it away? That's just my theory though.
Yeah I randomly pulled up one day and he said something like “now no more trouble this time” but I don’t remember bothering him other wise I would have killed him because I kill everyone. Like everyone, I have zero honor

It’s funny when you haven’t seen any content yet and are asked to like something. At this point UA-cam format is just as copy and paste as regular television.
But with even more ads than TV, and more and more often you can't skip them.
Yeah yeah I know, adblockers are a thing. But it annoys me to even need them.
I think I heard somewhere that the epilogue wasn't supposed to happen and the game would have ended with Arthur's death, I think if that was the case the main game would have been 8 chapters and chapter one would have been before the black water massacre then chapter 2 is the massacre and then the game we had from Colter till chapter 6 (in that case chapter 8) would have taken place.
Red dead 3 should have sentient ai as the npcs, imagine how terrible you would feel after robbing someone

The first time I played this game, I got to 84% completion and didn’t use dead eye once. I didn’t pay attention to what it was, and I never used it. Even when I play the game now I just don’t! Turns out you don’t need it.
