Cool video! I got that sluice this summer and backpacked it in with the power pig and a small lithium battery - works great!
Try 1/8 mesh for small gold ,takes forever to fill a bucket , if you can lift a 5 gallon bucket of 1/8 ? the sluice likes 1/8 and it won't kick out so much of the fine gold . Good luck !
i would be breaking down some of that rock quartz to see as to weather gold is in the quartz
Facts. It's there in the rocks for sure.
New sub from over the pond in the south of England. I have a 25 year plan for 24g to cast my daughters wedding bands.
Tip for wader soles, either try spraying the bottom with hairspray (cheaper option) or get a fly fishing re-felt kit (costly) as the stormsure bonds permanently.
Gonna look forward to seeing the back catalogue of vids 👍🍻⛏️😁
Awesome! I hope things are well over there in my ancestral lands. Thanks for the sub. You'll make your goal just test test test then wash lots of rocks.
@@goldiswhereyoufindit Another cheaper way to make those boots slip proof is to hot glue carpet on the soles of your boots
It's your magical magic backpack. All your placer tools are in that backpack. I enjoyed your video. Good job!! 👍
Dude I found a nice spot by the house in Paulding county. Its in a layer of clay about 2’ deep in the creek bed. Cantaloupe size quartz rock 4’ down mixed with hand size quartz rock and loads of black sand. It’s definitely a strange spot but the color are big and easy to spot. I spent maybe 4 hrs in the same spot and found more gold than I have after 10 hrs work at my other spot. Its a hike in and out but definitely worth it. I only panned also so a sluice is gonna mean pay day. The deeper I go the less I find. I don’t know if it can stratify through the clay. If not then its gonna be easier than I thought to get to it.
Great time out fam. Keep on having fun getting that au. Gold Squad Out!!!
I like that little Gold Hog sluice. The other thing you can try to get your classifier back is magnet fishing or a regular fishing pole with a hook on the end.......... or just go swimming lol.
Magnet fish it is. Gonna try it tomorrow.
Very cool, I'm going to try panning in north Georgia.
Awesome video here bud. Definitely that was a very nice spot for finding nice flour gold. Lol. And totally a nice job finding the float quartz rocks. Definitely something for you to check out cause you might found a source of the gold that was somewhat left behind by the old timers miners. Lol. That one big black covered quartz rock definitely might be worth taking home one day and crushing it up and panning it out. 😆
That sure is a nifty sluice, beautiful Gold Rookie, Thanks for sharing 👍🏼 😀
Nice meeting you today buddy. Appreciate all the knowledge!

The Gold Hog box looks good nice run 🦅🦅🦅🦅
Nice gold that’s what I get in Alabama I love my Goldhog sluice I’m going to the river Wednesday supposed to warm up some enjoyed the video ⚒️⛏️🇺🇸
Your gonna have to change your channel name... you ain't no Rookie anymore👍👍👍👍🤣 nice work!
I thought about changing the name, but I'm keeping it because I'm helping inspire new rookies to try gold panning and showing them what's possible from the perspective of someone that has never done it before episode 1.
I look watching your videos big dog I was trying to get up there but that cold weather moved in hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to get up there
Cold? What's that?
Spray those boots with some spray on bed liner
thats a possibility
I just got one of those. It works great but if you use at home with a recirculating system with the power pig it leaks real bad.
I use my big one with the power pig. It doesn't leak all that bad. You do lose some water but I'm ok with it. I use it outside on the driveway.
Hey lol thought it was today.. on the 10th can't wait ⛏️⛏️⛏️👍
Yeah you smashed that pay dirt today again man with gold hog . Taking your share nice one
We get that heavy silvery mineral in my area too. A geologist who prospects near me thinks its zircon.
zircon that's crazy. Last thing I would have guessed but I'm a geology rookie.
Nice! I don't think you would have trapped all that in your other mini sluice.
Rain can't stop a determined prospector anyway... lol
Great job. Iv been out once this year . Work work work . Not as much fun but staying bizzy. Thank you for getting out there for me. Same size gold here in Wyoming
Good job buddy thanks for sharing
Really nice job.
Love that new sluice!
Nice run buddy looks good sure looked like more than .1 but hey still good
The gold around here is super tiny plus the camera makes it look bigger lol.
Nice job. How do you like the Frog Toggs? I went with knee high water proof socks. They fit inside my regular boots and keep my feet dry, but a little cold. Looks like you could get some warm socks on inside your chest waders.
I like having chest high waders so I can go deeper and they are thicker and more heavy duty to keep me warmer when I'm digging in 20 degree weather this winter.
Love it 🎉
Dude idk I wish we had water here
Yeah but at least you can see the rocks and they aren't all covered in moss.
Use a magnet to get your classifier
Loved it as always. Cheers, Aaron
Got signed onto your Patreon. Hope it helps. I enjoy your point of view.
Very Nice !!
Im in the columbus area. No gold down here but thinking about making a trip up there. Any campsites you would recommend?
Find any campground near Lake Allatoona. There is gold in every creek that surrounds the lake. It is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers and they allow gold panning there.
I was blown away at the fine gold I found when I cleaned my black sands at home.
Great run with the sluice ! We are both WEGM members, we should hook up and do some prospecting together!
Heck yeah. One of these days we'll get together. I'm thinking of setting up a group dig at some point.
@@goldiswhereyoufindit Anytime you want to roll hit me up, im out there weekly
Hell yeah dude good day at the stream

Angus Mackiek!
Do you ever find much lead?
Lol, right after I post, you find a bb.😂
If you're on the lead - good chance the gold is close! - assuming you're in a gold bearing district.
Mackiek!
Have you gave any consideration to sale Merc with your logo?
I need to get on top of that soon.
Like your vids bud keep prospecting 😎
What state are you in? Nice video.
Georgia
Can you use a sluice in ga without a permit on public land?
Not all public land is the same regarding the use of sluices. It depends on the jurisdiction. State parks you can't even pan at all or sluice. National forests don't allow sluices in Georgia, but in NC they do allow them at Uwharrie. Parks may have their own rules separate from legislation. The state of Georgia does not have a permitting process for hobbyists. Only commercial miners need permits from the state. The laws are so convoluted and vary so much you can't take anything I say as legal advice. Private property is your best bet for using a sluicebox.
How do you get the mercury out?👊
I leave it on my gold stored in a vile. Eventually I'll use a retort - basically a still for mercury. It vaporizes the mercury and recaptures it for safe storage.
I need one them back packs what kind brother pack is that
It's a Quest 65L from Dick's sporting goods.
Thanks buddy
i carry a small bottle of jet dri with me for that fine gold that likes to float away
I use jet dry at home when I'm cleaning cons but out in the field I usually don't. Not a bad idea though you're not the first person to reccomend that.
Is Aaron your first name or last name?
First haha. Not like Henry.
Ain’t no Mountains Georgia lol
If you wanna come with me Im okay with showing you. Its a big enough creek.
