If you want to challenge yourself or a partner, then this stretch is for you! Not only will it stretch your tight groin, but it’ll probably humble you into realizing how far away from being able to do the middle splits you actually are... 😅
Let’s begin, shall we?!
Step 1: Place a circular resistance band around your feet and sit on your bum. 🍑
Step 2: Straighten out your knees so that your feet are in the air, like you’re at the top of a V-sit.
Step 3: Have a partner post up behind you as the grab the other end of the bands. If this is too challenging, then try sitting on a yoga block for more support. 🙂
Step 4: From there, have your partner separate your legs (as far as you can comfortably go) until you feel some bearable tugging in your groin. Also, don’t forget to breeeathe throughout the stretch! 💨
For a bonus hamstring stretch, have your partner pull your legs back together with the band as you pull the band towards them. Pain never felt to good!

Just found your videos and it is so informative. Can you show what ligaments or muscles join at the groin where leg meets trunk. Currently it feels like a lot of ropes are “bunching together” in that one spot deep in the hip and it feels congested. Dont know what treatment to ask for. Thanks!
Sounds like you're referring to your hip flexors. They can get tight.
