Dr. Hakeem, You are an inspiration to all of us you care this illness of depression. Thank you for all you are doing for our youth who find it so hard to speak to even their own parent's and friends for fear of being rejected and missunderstood. May God Bless you and all your efforts.

OMG Hakeem! We HAVE to collab in some way. I used one of your vids as my feature vid on the press release for my memoir. People of color need to see people of color overcoming issues typically thought to be only a white (or crazy) persons problem. Keep up the GREAT work!
When you get a minute, check out soymiguelalejandro23 channel. I think he's the Hakeem of Brooklyn. All the best :)

This is wonderful. I am sitting up here crying now. Yup you know I'm a crybaby and I'm okay with that. I wish I'd had someone to tell me what was going on with me in a way I could have understood and related to it as a child. Perhaps things could have been better. But letting that go we are trying to do that now for others. Thank God for Hakeem. Mad respect to him and thanks for that wonderful compliment my love! :)

***** thank you for your words and emotion. I think it will first and foremost be honest self expression and vulnerability that while change the perception of mental illness. So thank you!

You are welcome. I am grateful for the work you do to bring awareness to the plight of those of us who are living with mental illness on the daily. It is awesome and incredible responsibility to turn and give to others of that which we have been given. You are doing an AMAZING job papa. Keep going and let your light so SHINE! Much LOve, Miguel!
