Also if the late swapper is watching, reach out and we'll do some virtual swaps! (Virtual as in not meeting in person, you'll still get real plants 🤣). A lot of swappers have been in touch together over socials and I'm sure we'd all be keen to swap some more so you don't miss out! 😭❤️
Your needle felted leaf is supposed to be a fenestrated cebu blue 🤭🤣 but you are so welcome, I'm so happy you love it! Thank you for filling my days with wonderful content! 😍😍
I ❤ Plant Swaps. I have gotten 🌱 I wanted but refuse to pay the high price. I gave plants away at work. The person gave me vegetables she chop the same morning. It was so exciting for the both of us. You have some great swaps, especially the pepperonia freckles. You’re so kind to swap with the late person. 🪴🌿💚🌱
Between you and claire my love for houseplants and knowledge has grown that I'm loving doing planty bits when i come home from work, i work in a care home, and looking after my cocker spaniel, thank you for your videos ❤
Im pretty sure the cactus is an Echinopsis oxygona depending if the flowers are pink. If the dried up flower stalks have a swollen green base chances are its a seed pod if the flower was pollinated. (Looks like some of the flowers were starting to develop into seed pods) 🌵
@@GoodGrowing Good chance it's an oxygona then, I have one too ☺️ they tend to flower really well over spring and summer so I bet you get more soon. Give them a good winter rest with hardly any watering between October and March and they flower even more 🌸
No thank you for coming and swapping with us! Defo wanna do more throughout the UK soon. Next one is Birmingham which I know isn't much closer but 🤷♀️
Hey Miranda! I don't usually make to sell or order or anything because I'm still relatively new to needle felting. However, I'm more than happy to give your dog a try as long as you don't hold your breath 🤭🤣🥰
Do you have cactus gloves? That's definitely a cactus and the long spines are actually the nicer ones. The small brown spines that surround the big ones are the worst. I highly recommend getting some Elmer's glue like we used in elementary school... if they have an equivalent in the UK. Pouring glue over the portion of your hand with the small thorns then peeling the dried glue up usually takes the small spines with it. Otherwise, you'll need a bright light and tweezers.
@GoodGrowing stay away from cholla. They grow wild where I live in Arizona. The segments break off at the lightest touch and are very hard to remove from clothing, skin, and fur. There's a reason there are entire sections of desert that have miles of cholla. They've developed an effective way to spread/move over thousands of years.
Lets do a livestream together and repot our cactus 😂 I have way too many and they all need to be repotted. Ive been avoiding it for so long 🤦🏻♀️ Loved this video ❤
You are a very generous & kind person Emma. I think that is so lovely giving those plants away & the loving way you talk to your pussy cat shows such a warm heart 🐈🇳🇿🇳🇿👍
Best way to repot a cactus is to wrap the top spikes with a towel folded over many times. I would love for you to have a swap in Australia but I don’t think that will happen anytime soon
This is SO insanely coolll! So proud of you for all of your hard work!!! I wish there was something like this near me, Infact there probably is. I just don't think it'll be as awesome as what you guys' have put together!!! 💚🌵🪴
yes I know that feeling, I visit a monthly plant swap in Copenhagen and we are like 10 people, so it´s tiny. But I still love it and it´s also a great way of just meeting and talking to other plant lovers. It´s just about 1-2 hours in a bar and it normally end with someone who brought basically nothing and just started there plant journey getting all the plants people don´t want to take back home :D but i´m a bit jealous looking at this big and well organized plant swap
I’m so excited I’m going to my first swap in late July in the US and been in a panic since a lot of my bigger plants are “cheaper” plants but your video helped a lot. Also loved the plants you swapped for.
The cactus looks to be an Echinopsis species, possibly Echinopsis oxygona. Also that Melanochrysum is my absolute dream, I have a small juvenile plant that I’m hoping to have at that size. Hopefully its newest leaf will size up after its accidental break off on its unfurling leaf
@@GoodGrowing oooh yay. I just googled Another Plant Swap and found the website and I'm thrilled to see there's one at Bristol and it's coming up very very soon!!!
I think the first pep is a albovittata! Another really beautiful one I have is verticillata, the veining almost looks like a string of turtles besides the fact that they have green adaxials with fuchsia abaxials and stems! And the cactus is probably a species of echinopsis, probably a tubiflora! Maybe y’all can try to do a live swap on socials one day. I’d love to be able to participate from the us.
yeah that does look like the right peperomia for the first one. Thanks for the ID! Yeah it would be so much fun to do something virtual... just not sure how we can make it work logistically 🤔
@@GoodGrowing your welcome! you mean like the shipping and certifications? Yeah, I think that’s something you and your team would have to decide on and I believe you can purchase a certificate that would work on all orders for your business. But I’m not completely sure. Def let us planties stateside know if y’all ever do ❤️
How do you announce these plant swaps? I’m so close to London and would absolutely love to attend however I have no socials.. I got so many plants/cuttings/wet sticks to swap, would be awesome!

what an amazing gift. You’re so talented! That little Cleo head is just so precious.♥️🐱
So talented!!! 💚🪴🌵
That felted leaf and Cleo are so gorgeous,so talented! It looks like you put a lot of work into it! ❤
Had such a great time at the swap, thank you guys for organising it!🪴

aww so so glad to brighten your day even by a little bit 🥰
Packing peanuts to stick to the needles of the cactus makes reporting easier :)
ooooooh that's a good shout! thanks!

yeah the flowers were pink. some did have swollen bits but they've gone out with the rubbish at this point... whoops! maybe next year!

I don't have cactus gloves but it might be something worth investing in if I keep getting into cactus more!

I am your top fan. ...
😂 Picks up the most cactus looking cacti ever...."It could be a succulent"🤔 Guuurlll🤣 that was too funny!
lol its euphorbias that confuse me because technically they're succulents but they look like cacti 🤷♀️
16:02 peperomia peppermill maybe?

Use polystyrene or rolled up newspaper to handle your cactus when repotting. It’s a stunner ❤
Or a piece of cardboard :)
omg yes!! smart ones here!
I wish I could go to your swaps! 😍 I haven't been able to find anything like that here in Madrid, and it's such a good idea!
maybe one day we'll spread into Europe!! would be so much fun!!
Amazing swaps !!! Love the cactus ! I have recently started loving them xD
isn't it just amazing! Seriously my new obsession 🌵
I recently got two and ahhh!

aww thank you! I just want them to have good homes! 🥰
Pro-tip for repotting a cactus, use cactus gloves and use kitchen tongs
ooooh maybe I'll have to get myself some cactus gloves! thanks!

I am so jealous of you Pink Lady, I've been trying to find one here in Canada for the longest time! Great collection you got!❤
omg right! It's stunning! I'd never seen one before but they defo seem quite uncommon here too! Hopefully you can get one soon!
Love watching your swaps, you put so much work into it! Bravo to all the organizers…. Can you come to Australia!! 😅 Natalie 🫶🏼🪴🍃
omg I so wish we could come to Australia! It would be so much fun!
Pretty confident your peperomia no ID is piccolo Banda.
Yes definitely. I have one & I love it ❤️ I only do bottom watering with mine when it needs a drink. I’m worried about it getting root rot 😱
I wish we had "plant swap" events in Australia :( maybe there are some, but I am yet to find any!
I’m so excited I’m going to my first swap in late July in the US and been in a panic since a lot of my bigger plants are “cheaper” plants but your video helped a lot. Also loved the plants you swapped for.
always glad to help! Hopefully your swap runs similar to ours where you actually need to speak with people to swap 🤞 enjoy!!
This is awesome!!! I don’t have a golden pothos in the 75+ plants I have actually. Would totally trade for that!
come to Another Plant Swap and I'll happily trade you for some 😉
I want to have a plant swap so badly! I know Claire wants to come to NY so maybe in the future? ;)
I so wish we could have one in the states! Maybe one day when we're big enough! 🙏

ooh thanks for the potential ID! and yeah that melanochrysum is stunning! Gunna make another swapper v happy!
Yes I love pothos!!!! So underated!
I've never heard it pronounced like that, caught me off guard for a sec lol (no hate I love your videos!)
ooh how have you heard it before?
Please could you do a plant swap in Exeter? It's in Devon, South West England.
Quite possibly next year 😉
@@GoodGrowing oooh yay. I just googled Another Plant Swap and found the website and I'm thrilled to see there's one at Bristol and it's coming up very very soon!!!
Emma, I think that's a Pepperomia peppermill!
hmmm maybe! that's like the 3rd different ID I've had so far 😅
Amyone in nc usa
I think I'm the only plant collector who does not have any hoya ....not one .
Here's one without any aglaonema OR peperomia. No cacti either or succulents. 🙋
@plantylali I don't have any of those either lolby choice. I have 100 / 150 plants but most Anthurium/ philodendron/ alocisia and one stag horn 😆
I only really got into hoya in the last 1.5 years, before that I didn't care for them much... same with cacti but only 6 months
I just got a Peperomia Pink Lady and it looks like the one you showed but other leaves look like the freckles 👀 very confused
hmmm I defo think they're somewhat related?? maybe it depends on the light they're getting how much variegation it puts out? or genetics?

Why put cactus in semi hydro won't it drown?
Barrel cactus
I don't keep them in the water resevoir like i do with normal semi hydro. so it's basically just a dry, non-organic, rocky substrate
