Hi, it took a bit of learning using the app for the cricut, but once saved I can make around 100 wads in a couple of minutes
Definitely recommend for saving money as this is going to get expensive 😁

I like using a mix of 8 mm and 6 mm BBs and they seem to work pretty well. And for those who are wondering the bbweight I use for the 6 mm is 15 g and for the 8 mm 27g and using this mix I achieve a range around 50 to 65 ft

      Sounds pretty interesting
I have never seen either of those weights available for sale here in the uk
Especially 8mm, they are quite rare?

@@pewtube6000 they're still available here in the US but since most airsoft guns don't shoot 8 mm I'm starting to wonder that they might get discontinued. and by the way I got 15g and 8mm from evike

wow, gotta be careful about how i say this, apparently youtube had issues with my original comment...
not sure exactly what the problem was, so the choice of words might seem odd.
first off, if you are in to 3d printing then there is a nice loading tool for these shells on thingiverse,
i use a 3/4 inch punch (19mm), and with the tool it makes a nice even crimp on the wad, seals up really nice and airtight loading them from the bottom! i dont use the plastic thingy, just another wad under the bb`s, but there are 3d prints for those too.
anyways, i watch cat gut violin`s videos too... :)
i dont have an aps pump thingy, i have the denix double barrel thingy that now fits the aps shells just like cat... but im thinking about getting one.
so i was wondering, as i have been experimenting with 3d printed shells for the xpower thingy and making them a little bit longer to fit more bbs and have the valve not hit them when... "engaged", this works great in the double barrel,
but do you think it being longer would create issues with cycling in an aps pump thingy?
and do you know the fps with the plastic thingy and 11 bbs?
sry, that was a lot of thingys, hope you understand, but thingiverse is actually called thingiverse though.
i swear they must have put me on some youtube comment watchlist somewhere, this is getting ridiculous!!!

      Hello bud,
      Thanks for reaching out
I kinda got what you were saying, the algorithms are a swine huh!
I tried the paper wads underneath, they just shredded with the pressure of the co2 hitting them causing erratic fps readings
I didn’t realise ThingyVerse had files for 3D printing the floral wads, which is what I am currently using
I may shuffle off and investigate 😉

    Hello mate,
Nice video, I just order shells from over seas (forgot to get wads and covers.)
I also don’t know what covers to get the plastic ones or the card ones?
Should I make my own wads and covers?
And all you need to do different for the X shells is a shorter wad?
The other thing is if you don’t have the machine your wife has, is there other options to make 18mm disks?
Even charging them is a pain, thinking of just getting the 88g adapter.
Then other are saying the shells quality is mixed and leak.
Any help or advice is much appreciated!
    Just subbed!

      Hello bud.
It’s quite easy to make the wads without a fancy Cricut machine and a mrs to do it for you, I think you can buy a card cutting press off of Amazon or eBay for not much money , and it’ll save time
I accidentally bought the wrong wads from WGC in HK , so ended up cutting them down to fit the X Power shells, they do have the correct ones.
I also used the 88gr bulbs and filling nozzle , it does take time though!
A little drop of silicon grease will help keep your shells in good shape, but I did occasionally get a leaker, I found that if I just let it warm back up (as the co2 gets them freezing when it leaks out) they sometimes were ok.
Also, if you really want to make sure you are getting a good fill, I got jewellers scales from Amazon, and weighed a filled one to see how much co2 was actually going in, it also lets you know when the bulb is starting to get low 👍
Hope that helps you a touch

@@pewtube6000I have a 18mm leather punch, not sure if I could use that with some card and a cutting mat?
I have no idea what press to go for mate, there is so many and they prices are all over.

Try a cornflakes box or something similar for the wads 👍

The US is a gun liberalization country, but the toy airsoft gun market seems to be very active..?? Is it because there are many people who are satisfied with the airsoft gun because the price of live ammunition is very expensive?

I live in America, and have airsoft guns because it's good for shooting your friends during games, you can keep animals out of your yard without killing them, and you can shoot them in your house. Ammo for my real AK74 is roughly 60 cents a round, and bb's are like 10 for a cent.

Hi, yes I’ve used the home made wads.
They work well, but don’t allow enough pressure behind the beebs to build up for effective outdoor / woodland use. I’d maybe try doubling up on card wads if you are using outdoors as the burst of gas seems to shred them 😂
