Oh no way, there's 3 times as many HMs as MAs. It's the most overmanned rating in the Navy and advancement is notoriously slow. For me, I went from E1 to E4 in 1 year. That's no longer possible (or guaranteed at least) with the new NAVADMIN about 30 months TIS to E4. MAs promote pretty easily and it's not as hard as other ratings.

I agree with you on so many points, frittering away money over newfangled brands is inane. but, the only vice I haven't been able to ween myself from is women.
