Nice video! It is not recommended strapping the APCL to the APCLE because of the upgraded internals. The new E line has upgraded Mosfets and Toroids for better voltage under loads. You just got yourself a new subscriber!
Don't see to many videos of the AudioPipe APDL1-16001D. It has AudioPipe spelled out it's all black the little grills are black and I've been pretty happy with it can't really find any videos on the 1600 version

Irs just like the bottom amp except the grey grills are black amd AudioPipe spelled out and were the logo is on the right side were the AudioPipe logo and symbol is mine just says 1600 watts it's rated the same at 4 & 2 ohms just at 1 ohm says 1600 but the board says APCLE1500
or an skv2.1500 all the sk amps are very durable and put out over rated.. especially run @.5 runs great at 1ohm though.. only 499 and we'll worth it.. that's all I'll ever need in my crew cab.. my blazer is getting something bigger
You told me to look up your video because I asked if I could strap the two amps. Like you I had the same idea, I just never thought they would stop making the amp. At least the APCLE does look like it's made better. I was willing to spend another 150 to strap them. Maybe you can sell me yours? Or maybe I should sell mine & buy an E & still only be out the 150 for another E. Either way I'd still only be out the price for one. Which Skar did you end up going with? I did the same there too but I only have room for one so I chose the EVL-15 D2 wired parallel to 1 0hm
kbryancourville your the first person to leave a comment from Amazon. I'm with you. I thought they just did a reskin on the heat sink and left the board alone. Sorry but I put the apcl in my wife's car and it has sentimental value to me cause that's the amp that got me car audio crazy. I ended up with a SDR 10 and a vvxv2 10 which I'm waiting for skar to restock so I can get another SDR 10.
I have a DDR 10 I don't use because the bass just isn't like a 15". I got it thinking it would be good with a 15" Kicker Solobaric but before I got it my Audiopipe blew my L7 solobaric. It's just my luck. I also had 4 JBL 6x9 I had a lot less than rated wattage going to them & ended up blowing every one. Tried some Skar 6x9's the RPX69 & ended up getting 2 pair of those with lose centers & found out from Skar that they've had a lot of their RP6X9's defective. The first 10" they sent me had the wrong ohm's. Before I sent it back I ordered my EVL-152D & had to send it back because Fed Ex dropped it & broke the coil. That's what Skar told me happened. Now I'm in the market again for another amp. Oh I first bought a 100 watt Rockford Fosgate that had a short. Got a 2000 watt 4 channel Audiopipe for my 6X9's but it burned a channel out so I ended up with a Skar RP75.4AB. I now only have one good pair of 6x9's & they are audiopipe 6x9's but as you can see my luck is never ending. I'm really happy with my 15 inch Skar :)
kbryancourville wow! I buy a lot of car audio equipment from pawn shops for my channel and never had that many problems. I guess some people get a bad batch of equipment, must have been made/ shipped on a Monday or Friday lol. Sorry to hear that, that sucks.
FlexYoFace Chase i would go with the apcle series if you're looking for a lot of power. The mini series is for saving space for a small builds and I don't think the mini series does rated power but I don't know.
chris jones I've been getting a lot of comments about the apmi series and I'm going to get one to review and to replace my APCL 1500.1D that blew up a week ago. Can't wait.

Warranty stickers don't matter anyway. Electronics are made to fail once that warranty window has passed 😂

get a skv2.2500 they run great even @.7ohm not even hot and I run this beast... 2 10s & 1 12.. definitely pushing over 3k rms
or an skv2.1500 all the sk amps are very durable and put out over rated.. especially run @.5

I wouldn't think strapping would be ideal due to internals being different.
Blakeracer r I'm not going to, I'm just going to get another APCLE. Even though it's a slight difference it's a difference none the less.

Should I get this APCLE1500 or the APMI2k? What's the deal with the mini amps, do they suck or what. Or maybe get the APCLE1800?

I got 2000 watts audiopipe amp that gets hot after two fucking songs can anyone tell me why ? My subs are audiopipe as well 15s 1800 watts
I put fans on mine and it never cut off again...
Speaker gauge needs to be like 8 gauge ...a channel on UA-cam icr who but had same issue...revolved with the 8 gauge speaker leads
