I have to agree with Marco on this one. The baby Mazahs was too much. When he becomes Darkseid I was out.

To pick up on the "Road to Rebirth" discussion in the end: there's three/four parts to that. On the one hand you have Geoff Johns' Justice League #50 and DC Universe: Rebirth #1, both released at the end of May 2016 (indeed similar to Flashpoint/N52 and also Absolute Power/DC All-In Special).
Next, there's the Superman and Teen Titans parts.
    - Titans Hunt, as Cale mentioned, was a reunion of the original Teen Titans and highlighted a certain redhead speedster missing from the timeline. It ran from October 2015 to May 2016 so right in line with Darkseid War. Continued in Titans: Rebirth #1.
    - Superman: Lois & Clark follows the pre-Flashpoint Clark Kent and Lois Lane who, due to Convergence, have been inserted into the New 52 and are living under false names with their son Jon. This also ran from October 2015 to May 2016. A lot of threads are continued in the Superman and Action Comics Rebirth series, as well as the following books.
    - Superman: The Final Days of Superman was a crossover between the final two issues of the Superman line of books (SM, AC, BM/SM, SM/WW) and chronicles, you guessed it, the final days of the New 52 Superman who is dying from everything that happened in the last year of publishing (Darkseid War and kryptonite poisoning in the previous Superman story arcs). These issues were published weekly in April and May of 2016, and from there on out the pre-flashpoint Superman takes over in the Rebirth books from June 2016 onwards.
The complicated bit comes in afterwards, with Superman: Reborn establishing a new timeline for Superman by merging the pre-flashpoint and New 52 storylines causing there to be only one Clark Kent. They show a couple of pages of the new timeline with Jon Kent being there for certain storylines, but it's best not to think too much about it.
Also for Tyler: Justice League vs Suicide Squad is one of the first crossovers of the Rebirth line and is the launchpoint for Justice League of America, which ran at the same time as Justice League (by Brian Hitch) and was written by Steve Orlando.

I should've watched all the way through before voting Knight Terrors, but I'm a pal of my word and not backpedaling

Man I forgot a lot about this event. I think that's one of the worst things you can say about an event: forgettable. Glad you guys refreshed my memory. Would love to hop to the alternate Earth where you covered Forever Evil.
I do like the idea of Grail and Jessica is one of my favorite Lanterns

I do love me some Forever Evil, but I’m personally glad we read this because I’ve read FE more recently to prepare for our interview with Geoff Johns. There will be other opportunities for us to read that in the future though!

Saw bit and pieces of this live, but now ready for the discussion!
In general, the concept of the conflict between Mobius and Darkseid is very interesting: The Anti-Monitor has alway been "anti-life" in concept, the Darkseid is literally the evil in the universe, without him it has almost been destroyed before.
But, as many things from Geoff Johnes, this has been mostly retconed or ignored since then.
As a tangent, the idea of someone dictating the whole narrative sounds counter-intuitive to creative works, the DC universe has never been as consistent as when Geoff was calling the shots.

I skipped this whole event because I was not liking this version of the Justice League.
It wasn't as good as 90s JLA by Grant Morrison's which I ❤
I didn't like New 52 Justice League by Johns .
When Darksied War & Forever Evil wash my cup of tea visually either .
I found reading more Avengers & New Avengers by Hickman since SC wasn't doing it for me during this time .
This New 52 Justice league didn't grab me like the DCAU Justice League Unlimited.
Because New 52 Justice League looks so Edgy and 89s

I think there is only one apokolips that exist in the new 52 it’s singular and so is planet new genesis there were no parallel new gods in alternate universes they access all universes

I think that in a way Rebirth is a bigger deflation than New 52. The sales werent as big as the beginning of New 52 but the goodwill toward it was. I think Johns and DiDio lose that goodwill so much faster than New 52. Id be really interested what happened but I think its still too recent.

Yeah I'm not sure how much material there would be for a Rebirth Deep Dive style series. Even though Rebirth was a new branding and informed by the New 52's successes and failures, it's still the same guys. A lot of the same problems DC had during N52 were still present.
