I'd like to challenge the notion of brands having "competition". I believe every brand has their own unique story and style. A story and a style that will reach specific audiences. Audiences that usually like what they like and depending on the story or background of brand A, may naturally only want to support brand A versus brand B - solely based on the style or background/story of the brands. It doesn't even really matter if they're in the same market. I do think it is very important as a brand to know what other brands are doing, no doubt! That way you can try and figure out a way to "Stand out", but not necessarily to the capacity of considering anyone else as a "competition". Solid video though! Founder // World Rebels
Ronnie thanks for checking out the video. Also thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are totally correct in your point and I agree with you. But your point of view is coming from the consumers side. What I was stating is coming from the brands point of view. There's always competition. Someone is going to try to come into your space. You have to monitor that and be able to pivot and stay ahead of them ie "competition". While you're doing that your audience can be doing what you said, choosing to rock with you or brand B. :)
@@planetbrooklynacademy Most definitely. As long as your branding, products, customer service, and everything is top notch i feel it makes it hard for others to keep up. All of that as well as quality Story to tell! Looking forward to other videos!
Hi, thanks for teaching this. It's really difficult getting good videos that explain things like this. As one who is just starting out this video alone is helpful. I've had to redefine what I'm trying to do countless times, right now I think it's more of a clothing line, I mean at the moment I want to just focus on creating graphics designs to be printed on apparels and then sell off.
its our pleasure to be able to bring you this content. We are always happy to hear that we helping someone. And yes, if you want to just focus on doing tee graphics thats excellent. You are starting a clothing line. keep building your graphic line and once you start to expand you'll grow from a line to a brand.
As a side not tho: That skimmed milk version of Martin Lawrence alongside the Bape Babe on the channel banner might be affecting the subscriber growth rate tbh😅
Holy fucking shit I just found your channel and god bro you deserve so many more viewers and subs with the knowledge your giving out much love bro and thank you for being an amazing guide💯‼️
Thank you. I appreciate your words. When I started out in this industry I had no one to point me in the right direction. I felt its my duty to help others avoid the pit falls I fell into. More videos to come. Stay tune. :)
Hey, My name is Dorian I'm into Sneakers and Fashion and from Jersey I'm looking for a reliable mentor to guide me into the right decision I have the creativity but I want to improve on it I'm currently working on a clothing line. I've learn a few things from watching this video but most of them was really common sense theres still a few unanswered things like manufacturing wise, Looking forward on your response.
Hey Dorian. Thank you for reaching out. Sorry for the delay we've been really busy with a lot going on. But email us and lets see if we can set up a time to talk. info.planetbklynacademy@gmail.com
Definitely interested in studying more. I'm really passionate about my brand with local support and relationships from other businesses but still don't have the ability to expand like I need to because of my current position. How could I try to get more information on help?
Im a guy that designs shirts at home and sells them (or atleast tries to). I already have a common theme for my shirts and everything but what is the most effective approach to sell them? I tried selling on the street and that didn't work too well but i only tried once lol. Also, I'm not a graphic designer nor do i have enough money to hire one, So i don't own the rights to the designs i use but i do pay for the rights to sell them through the company that made them.
Hey Kaleel. Thanks for reaching out. No this channel isn't dead. We've been really busy. We just finish writing and getting approved a college course based on this channel. So we were busy with that and developing our new season line. But we are about to go back into production and drop some new content in the next couple of weeks.
So you need to have a multiple lines to have a brand? What if it’s a single brand or line but it becomes a well known clothing but it doesn’t have any other lines below em. Will you not call that a brand. I feel like it’s better to call it a brand if people knows about it? Like let’s say Rhude, they are a well known brand now but do they have lines under them? They’ve got collaborations and all but not lines i reckon
See thats one of those exceptions to the rules. If you have a line and it becomes large it then becomes a brand because of its stature. Its kind of similar to how a college will give some famous person an honorary doctorate even though they never actually earned the title like everyone else.
There are alot of brands that make it to that point. And i think that’s what most people who starts a clothing business is aiming for coz if not why start in the first place. So I don’t think you need a line to make it and make your clothing a brand. Also, i understand how clothing line works and stuff but for normal shopper who shops in shopping centres specially they will only know the brand and not the line most of the time. For example, Nike - most people will only know Nike and won’t call it Nike ACG.
How do you earn the title of honorary doctorate as well in clothing brand? By being a brand for a long period of time or by having clothing lines? I think there’s just brands that are really good and have the edge over the others and that’s how they become more successful and well known than others. 😊
YOU SOUND LIKE RUSSEL SIMMONS LOL, but on another note what was life back in the late 90s early 2000s i was just a kid but i wish i was older cause honestly i feel like an old soul. i would of loved to met Aaliyah DMX Left eye and be apart of the rocafella movement
lol.. Late 90s, earlier 2000's was the last of the good times. You talking about a time when urban fashion was the biggest going and Streetwear was being birthed . Music was diverse and a lot of hot artist were just starting their musical careers.
Great video! I represent an investor who just bought a factory overseas. We’re looking to bring our products to the United States specializing in blank prints. Let me know if you have any interest in a collab?

You'd have to have a consultation meeting with to explain all that to you.
this is the goat right here
Last video you dropped was a year ago, will you be dropping more videos or is this channel dead? Would love to gain more knowledge from you.
