@Experienced Gear any idea what is the differrence between the Hoji PU vs. this PX?
Hi MacikHU - The difference between the Hoji Pro Tour Hoji PX and Hoji PU is shell material. The Pro Tour has a girlamid (Nylon) Shell, PX has a Pebax (TPE) Shell, and the PU has a PolyUrethane Shell. As a result of the material difference the PU is also a slightly softer flex, and is a little heavier. The PU *should* also be a little better than the PX with vibration absorption
Thanks for the question!
@@experiencedgear thanks for the fast and complex answer! So basically the shape of the boots is identical for all (same inner dimensions) and its just the material that differs right? I guess it applies for the new Radical series too, where the 'Radical Pro' is just a lighter version of the 'Radical', Grilamid vs. PU.
I bought the Hoji Free Pro 110 for a really good price, but unfortunately they are too narrow for me, so I am trying to figure out a replacement. Already tried the Radical Pro's, they have +1.5mm in width and I can feel that, but still got issues with fit around ankle, so I will try the older PX now. Hope they will fit better, because I really love the Hoji lock!
@@MacikHU Out of the three of those boots, the Rad Pro has the most generous volume around the ankle. Additionally, it has a few more refinements - primarily on the buckle ergonomics which make it a tad nicer. However, theyre much harder to find. If you can, find a used pair of Hoji Tours, and have them aggressively punched around the ankle. Hope this helps!
Are these boots compatible with G3 ion bindings?
That is an excellent question and something that we did not explicitly call out in the review!
The Hoji PX, PU, and Pro Tour are all compatible with standard Pin-Tech style bindings including all offerings from G3. Thanks for the question and callout!
