this is really comforting to hear as a fellow collector T__T… i can totally relate to having to “remind” myself of a certain group being an ult >__> for some reason, ive always felt the need to not “leave out” old ult grps/grps i love but are inactive & i have to keep telling myself just because im not as invested in collecting sm1 doesnt mean i like them any less. things change as time goes on, and thats completely okay.

This is such a lovely video ❤ I think we as collectors really need to step back sometimes and re-evaluate and reconnect with the groups we stan as well as our collections. Groups change and grow over time and we do as well, and sometimes you just grow apart. But that doesn’t invalidate all the love and support given until then! I dunno, I’m rambling (as always lol). I just love downsizing videos. I find them cathartic. Much love as always ❤❤❤❤
I started feeling so emo by the end like I wanted to cry cause even tho as a new baby collector who keeps second guesses every purchase of hers, I can really feel how much big this change was. Great video!
I try always be open though I would be lying if I said it didn’t make me nervous sometimes. Also when I read candor all I could think about was the divergent series idk if you’ve ever watched or read it.
As both a Twice and Nmixx collector I decided to either not collect any Nemo's or only for Jeongyeon as she's my ult... it's definitely too much for me as an ot9 collector
@@Onceglassy Nooo don't feel bad! Preferences change and that's just life. People pick up and drop collections all the time so don't pressure yourself too much. And when you feel better with this change then it's definitely the right to do. I collected the living hell about nct back in like 2019, I did four members kinda fully. And one day I woke up and questioned what on earth I was doing with not loving some of the recent music so I stopped. And it was great. Don't worry it's natural (I wrote so much rip)
Excited to watch this as I'm currently struggling to downsize my own collection, both albums and photocards and just prioritise my absolute wants instead of little bit of everything. Fully dropped some groups already, as you can sink so much money into this hobby in the recent years (pobs, I'm looking at you) and it's really taking a toll on me both mentally stressing about getting everything, money wise as I collect particularly expensive idol(s) and just space because damn, the albums take a lot of space with how I personally want them organised. I also love rambling
Yes I have cut down my albums a lot too. I just don’t enjoy it as much anymore and they really do take up sooooo much space 😭😭😭 Especially since I’m someone who likes collecting books and manga to their is only so much space. Also thank you so much for watching 💜
I really recommend the 1 card per era like it took a huge wait off my mind when I did. Plus if you ever change your mind it’s less work downsizing 1 card and era or pretty easy to add more for their.
I don’t know anything about idols. You used so many words that I don’t understand… bias, olds/alts(I have no idea what you said). 😅 But, this was fun to watch and now I’m curious! Also, change is good. We all change over time and sometimes things don’t have a main spot in our lives anymore. That doesn’t mean our love has changed, it’s just not a main priority anymore.

I do a downsize every 6 months, just to reevaluate my collection and make sure I’m collecting what I want and not what others collect
