Ca-Hone (like bone) A lot of names have a J, but are pronounced with an H. Like San Jacinto is pronounced "San Hacinto". Awesome idea on the wipe down sponge bath with the essential oil, I wish the US shipping was more affordable, I would buy a bottle.
I've been watching your PCT videos since Day 1 and loving it! I worry though that the scented sponge baths could attract critters. Please stay safe out there, especially in bear country!
Congrats on the first 20. I'm afraid you have some much hotter days ahead, but nothing you can't handle. 👍 I never eat at McDonalds either but when on the PCT I did and regretted it about 10 miles down the trail.
I love your essential oil tip with the wet wipes. Why do you choose cedar? Is there a specific reason or you just like the scent? I definitely will try this but wondering what the best multi purpose oil might be? Any suggestions? I'm enjoying following your journey. You're a great example of how to slowly ramp up the mileage. 🌻
No specific reason on the Cedar, just happen to be the one I grabbed. If you do try this, avoid citrus on any skin that could be exposed to sunlight. Citrus oils are phototoxic and could cause severe burns. Cedar, Black Spruce, Pine are all nice. Lavender is also great.

As a CA native I love all the funny pronunciations 😅! One of the funniest is how people say La Jolla
😂😂😂
@@TheHikingChick1 I think the only reason I can pronounce La Jolla is because I heard someone else say it.
La-Hoy-uh! Haha
Thanks for keeping up the plant name call-outs 👍

I was wondering about that too but love the idea. Maybe the cedar is a safe scent.
Looks absolutely beautiful. Keep on keeping on, you got this!!
Definitely, Ca - HONE. The J is silent.
Great job👍👌
Yea plant Papa is back love watching the videos. Keep it up buddy

Definitely not REAL food.

Did you eat some of the miners lettuce?
Most definitely! It is really very good. Reminds me of spinach.
It's pronounced "ka-hawn", Spanish for "box".
