Congrats on your 1st 100 miles. Beautiful views and that last sunset and the vapor, clouds were amazing. Eagle Rock is pretty cool. I like the plant ID you are doing. Hike~~On~~>
Loved this upload, we look forward to every video. You look great! What an adventure! I need to keep track of all the questions I have so I can pick your brain in Oregon! ❤️
The vapor trail at sunset was a Space X rocket launch from Vandeberg Air force base, north of LA. I was carrying Star link satellites. I was watching from San Diago. If you had looked up 20min or so earler you could have seen the rocket moving from north west to south east. Great video. The area arounf Warner Spring will be covered in wail flower soon.
Very cool episode! Love eagle Rock! That is a real milestone right about the 100 mile area or a bit more. I’m following a few hikers every year since the start of the pandemic that’s when I discovered these videos.. the lady from Calgary was she also doing the pct?
The Ocotillo is pronounced occo-tiyo. Anytime you see a double "L" in a Spanish word it's pronounced as a "Y" like "Tortilla". The big horn sheep in the area eat the little Ocotillo leaves. Warner Springs is a super pretty area with all the Scrub Oak. I love day hiking around that area. Space X has been launching a bunch of rockets lately. If this was from April 6th, I got some photos of it when I was down in Baja. Keep on trekking!
I wish I had brought more of the Peak Meals. I did a Gear and Food breakdown in a video several months ago. The food I brought on the trail did not work so great for me. I would make many changes for future trips.

Glad you like them!
Cloud formation 😊could be a rocket launch. Could be a launch from Vandenburg……
You are most likely correct about the rocket launch. Cool to see.

I've been eating Peak ReFuel for >decade but recently began buying others as well because I'm plain tired of the same old meals. jajaja
