Five Star quality - there are a lot of very good training videos from great guys out there but Coach Donny has, perhaps, the most intelligent, lucid, and comprehensive approach to vertical jump coaching I have encountered thus far on UA-cam. Low number of comments on this one is a real mystery as the other one I have watched - on the 4 step approach to a two-footed jump - had over one thousand comments. Even weirder as they both seem to have "dropped" 3 years ago. Have already lined up another 5/6 of his videos for "watch later"...
I tend to do many vertical jumps from a stand still however if I do too many I experience pain in the joints within my feet. Sometimes if I overdo it too much my feet hurt so much that I can't walk properly of a day or two can't run fo 3-4 and can't jump for a week. Do you have any idea what I could be doing wrong?
ima 1 foot jumper and my coach noticed i cant get rebounds even tho i can jump high and dunk occasionally. Apparently my standing jump is wayy less than my running jump

@@BeLikeMike44 it doesn’t matter, check when ever you want, but you can check after every 2 weeks

Do u properly warm up before the game ?
yes i do in fact i took GCSE PE so i am verry aware of how to warm up properly

I can jump wayyyy higher than usual by putting pressure onto the meaty parts of the feet (below your fat toe)

Hey Donny, how do you have the volleyball hurt less when you bump?
You should get used to it over time but technique is also a big aspect. Make sure you are bumping, passing, and receiving correctly.
