  • We will be changing 5 shortcuts inside Unreal Engine 5 and this little change is enough to make it more Blender-friendly.
    If you're wondering what's in my Unreal's background, it's a blockout I did by following a course from ‪@FastTrackTutorials‬ : www.artstation...

    Without a joke, your black clothes with a black background are very unique.

    Amazing! This is a great way to make Blender and Unreal work together seamlessly.

    I understand that for an unreal engine user the wasd navigation system is comfortable, but I don't agree that it is more intuitive!
    In blender with only 2 buttons you have almost all the navigation system for the viewport, shift + mouse wheel: you can pan in the scene depending from which point. Mouse wheel: You can zoom in and out, and if you keep it pressed you can orbit around the scene.
    I'm a UE beginner, and it's super uncomfortable that I need 7 keys to do basic movements in the viewport ;-;

      I get where you're coming from.
      I said it is intuitive because of how it's the same keymap for many games. You could just use W, S and the mouse. Also there's no way we can use Blender's keymap for navigating very large scenes.

      True, I went into UE to import stuff from the engine to Blender, and took me a bit to know that you need to hold mouse and press WASD. In Blender, I just playing around with alt, shift and ctrl and I can already move the view around easily.
