this was when bauer used to make GOOD looking vapor skates... the silvers and greys really make them pop. that black tongues on these are unique as well.
@icehockeywarehouse my feet are around a 12 in hockey skates but I've always had problem with my Bauer vaper roller and ice skates due to wideness. My feet are a bit wider than yours and most people. Thanks for the pointer on CCM/Reebok
anon321 I just took my 11ks back to my skate shop with no problem after one month of skating on them and I beat the hell out of them. My heels started to lift real bad in the skates. I don't know your shops return policy but at my shop it is 90 days, they should work with you since they sized you and put you in the skates. Do anything you can to make it right your the customer.
Guess I'd like to stay in the Reebok line since they seem to have the proper width for my feet, and I like the Pump option to lock the heel/customize fit.
Is it bad that I don't even use footbeds? I've had XXX's, 9k's and 2 pairs of XXXX's, but the only ones I haven't used footbeds in have been the XXXX's and my first pair was actually a custom skate. I've always wondered if I lose any lean or anything, but it's worked for me.
Figure skates aren't the same size as hockey skates. I do both sports. A figure skate is sized by properly measuring the length of your foot and the width of your foot. From there you can look up the size chart from which ever company you would want to buy your skates at,
Could I have a link to the superfeet footbed. My feet always seem too wide and the sides of my feet hurt pretty bad when I start skating after about 10 minutes, so I think the footbed would be perfect
There's a lot of room around the bottom of my shin and the skate. It that bad? So when I skate I have to bend the skates inward and skate on the inside of my blade and It hurts my ankle. Any recommendations?
is it possible when i tie my skates all the way up (all holes) i can't bend my knees and laces are hurting me like they are cuting my leg above the ankle?
im wanting to get into skating just for fun and maybe hockey i am 5 foot 4 and weigh 112 pounds (163cm and 51 kg) i have a narrow heel i think, my shoe size is 9.5 US what skates would you reccomend
i have an skinny foot and i got size 8EE( no other sizes), if i get them molded to my foot will the width come in and wrap around my foot? please reply thank you
My parents bought me new skates for christmas (bauer x3.0's) and ive been skating in them for a few months now but after skating with them for a while mid game the outside part of me feet are always really sore because they are a narrow fit for my wide feet is there anything i can do to fix this without buying new skates? thanks
How about ankle support? What type of tests should one do to ensure that there is proper support? For example I have two pairs skates both loose and untied Case A: 1 pair, when I put my foot in and raise my leg my heel still touches the insole Case B: The other pair when I put my foot in and raise my leg, the heel and the insole separate so there is distance Is case A the better fitting skate??
Hiya mate , I have the bauer Supreme Pro skates and I my feet move left to right inside of them, it's not that tight at the top and lol im kinda new. So my question is , is it right for me?
My toes are touching the front of the skate is that really bad? Also does a small skaye usually creates bad skating? I have reebok 6k and they are 6.5 size. Idk if they are too small they fell a little strange. I haven't skated with them yet but plan to soon. I hope they fit because I just paid 200 dollars for them and if they dont fit I just wasted all my hard earned cash.
When I am skating, my skates tend to bend inward and its harder to stand straight up. How can I stay straight up more while skating, other than skating on the inside of my ankles all game?
No way with the thicker sock thing.I cant skate with thick socks.I just found it weird that i am a 101/2 sneaker and i need a size 8D Hockey skate.21/2 sizes down seemed alot to me but it is what it is.I tried an 8D Hockey skate and i just like the feel of my toes being closer to the toe caps.Gives me more control.I can and have used a 81/2 skate for a while and do skate well in that size. But after trying the 8D,i cant go back. Thanks for the response though.
do you need a wider boot if everything you said applied to how my skates fit on my foot, but at the toe box my toes are being squished together pretty badly? Like I said im pretty sure the size is right but the toe box is jamming my toes together causing me a lot of discomfort, the skates are vapor 30's that ive had laying around.... Just getting back on the ice.... been a few years since i last laced up.
I know this isnt really related to the video. but I'm 15 and a half years old and would love to start playing ice hockey, but because this is so late to start playing, do you think I'll ever have a chance of making it professionally (in the EIHL)?
I am a uk size 9. What size would I need. I don't know what width I am. Can I go to a sports store and use the measurement I would get if I get my feet measured
Hey, I'm a size 9.5 in shoes and I recently bought a pair of Bauer Vapor 2.0 Senior skates for pond hockey and recreational skating. They're a size 7.5 and they fit perfectly around the foot, but the area around my ankles are too loose and allow my ankles to bend way too much. How do I solve this? P.S. I'm a beginner and would like to start skating right and not be called a bender lol
Tyler - Thanks for the informative videos. Would you still use that thin sock if playing outdoors? What do you do about cold feet, especially playing outside pond hockey? thanks - Dave
The insole test is a quick indication if the skate size is right for you. You'll want to follow the rest of the steps by trying on the skate and seeing if you have any tight pressure points. If the skate is hugging the side of your foot and putting a lot of pressure on it during your fit test, it's too narrow and you'll want to get a wider fit. Brandon at IW Hockey
if im feeling some pain down by the arches of my feet and at my toes is that an indication that i need bigger skates or wider skates or should i buy new footbeds
I just got a pair of Vapor 3.0 skates. Got it baked already and skated for couple weeks. Recently, I feel pain at the front part of arch, followed with numbness later on if I skate more. Feel like the skates inside point to my arch and won't let it rested. I have a median arch. Tried superfeet, didn't feel any relief. Question: does it mean the shape of my feet doesn't fit the skates? Which line of bauer skates you think might be a better option for me? or different brand? Thanks!
Hockey socks dont suit me well, I use hunting socks such as RedHead because i have a wider foot and they keep me warm for those long shifts.. Will this affect me in a bad way if you guys know, Please let me know :)
Hi, Ice Warehouse. I used to wear a width D Reebok, but recently moved to a vapor width EE. I experienced some pain wearing both, but I like Bauer skates, so do you think it is a good choice to move to a supreme width EE the next time I buy skates? Also, how do the sizes compare: Reebok D, vapor EE, supreme D, and supreme EE?
hey tyson, I have some Vector 03 skates, i have been bleeding a lot on the back of my heels after playing.. but the rest of my foot is completely fine. What do you think would be the way to go for me? and what is the problem? is the heel pocket too narrow? i am looking to get new ones and I am pretty inexperienced
i tried on size 10, but my toes were touching the front where it made it uncomfortable to wear. I then wore size 11 and they feel a bit big (almost 2 fingers of space at the heel). What would you recommend i do?
Have you tried wearing 10.5 skates? Another option is to wear size 10 EE - the EE width offers a wider fit and may help your problem. What kind of skates are you trying on? Brandon IW Hockey
The laces on the skates are going thru the eyelets wrong. If the laces started outside and came back in there would be no slippage as you can see in this video. So many skaters do this wrong, it's getting to be comical....
I'm 13 and my foot are still growing bigger. For the skate size I wear, I wear 4 EE which was fit to my foot. Can I buy 4.5 EE instead of 4 EE so that I can be prepared of my foot growing?
I wish i would have seen this before i bought my skates. My skates are a size bigger then they should be and now i doubt i can return them now after i used them. -__- what a waste of money. Does anyone want to but once used Bauer rx:05 roller hockey skates for $90? Price negotiable.
very well, sounds good. Bought a 8 sized skate and yeah. I use inline roller blades and my toes touch the toe box on those, might buy another pair of skates. Thanks!
If you haven't heard, some sports stores like sport chek skate bake your skate. This'll ensure your foot is going to fit the skate for sure. Google it. Don't do this at home.
You shouldn't buy skates online, you need to go into a store and try different ones on. Everybody is so different and feet are never the same from one person to another. Only buy online IF you tried on IN STORE!
@icehockeywarehouse i have a question how do i determine the foot width of a bauer skate ?? i know that D and R stand fro regular width but how many inches is regular and D???? this has been bugging me for the longest time and i am also wondering i currently have bauer one 20's (i am a nub) and my ankle moves from side to side is this supposed to happen or are my ankles supposed to be locked in place?
this was when bauer used to make GOOD looking vapor skates... the silvers and greys really make them pop. that black tongues on these are unique as well.
WOW...9 years ago! Amazing !
Sick video,I was able to figure out what fit is best for me before I bought my skates from you guys.
@icehockeywarehouse my feet are around a 12 in hockey skates but I've always had problem with my Bauer vaper roller and ice skates due to wideness. My feet are a bit wider than yours and most people. Thanks for the pointer on CCM/Reebok

Could I have a link to the superfeet footbed. My feet always seem too wide and the sides of my feet hurt pretty bad when I start skating after about 10 minutes, so I think the footbed would be perfect
hi if i dont start by the middle by the skate my feet hurt. i dont know why they hurt . it you can help that will be great
Where can I get skate socks, because I live in Australia if I search " skate socks" I only get skate socks for skateboarding
When i tie my skates i put as tight like you said but we i skate my let starts hurting like if i had a cramp i use wax laces
im wanting to get into skating just for fun and maybe hockey i am 5 foot 4 and weigh 112 pounds (163cm and 51 kg) i have a narrow heel i think, my shoe size is 9.5 US what skates would you reccomend
i have a very wide foot. I'm using ccm u+ 06 skates and are 8 1/2 E. i cant feel the front of the toe cap Should i get a bigger size?
i have an skinny foot and i got size 8EE( no other sizes), if i get them molded to my foot will the width come in and wrap around my foot? please reply thank you

and also do i need skate socks? i just wear normal ankle sock while playing..
i wear a size 12 shoe what size skate should i get i am look at a pair of estons and i dont know how they run please respond back
How about ankle support? What type of tests should one do to ensure that there is proper support?

Hey i have a question, PLEASE respond. i wear a size 10 in skate shoes, would i need a size 8 or 7.5? playing roller hockey and want a pair of Bauers.
Hiya mate , I have the bauer Supreme Pro skates and I my feet move left to right inside of them, it's not that tight at the top and lol im kinda new. So my question is , is it right for me?
i'm age 12 and sizes are either 5.0 or 5.5. so what size would I been in reebok, ccm, bauer skates?
My toes are touching the front of the skate is that really bad? Also does a small skaye usually creates bad skating? I have reebok 6k and they are 6.5 size. Idk if they are too small they fell a little strange. I haven't skated with them yet but plan to soon. I hope they fit because I just paid 200 dollars for them and if they dont fit I just wasted all my hard earned cash.
is a d size good for me i'm ordering online and my foot is long but skinny and my ankle is skinny and not big like most feet
If your toes do not touch the toe cap at all when sitting or standing, does this mean the skate is to big for you?
When I am skating, my skates tend to bend inward and its harder to stand straight up. How can I stay straight up more while skating, other than skating on the inside of my ankles all game?
which skates are the widest? i wear ccm cls in a d width right now and they're a little too narrow would the bauer supreme series be wider?
is this the same for roller hockey skates?
well??
No way with the thicker sock thing.I cant skate with thick socks.I just found it weird that i am a 101/2 sneaker and i need a size 8D Hockey skate.21/2 sizes down seemed alot to me but it is what it is.I tried an 8D Hockey skate and i just like the feel of my toes being closer to the toe caps.Gives me more control.I can and have used a 81/2 skate for a while and do skate well in that size. But after trying the 8D,i cant go back. Thanks for the response though.
Awesome video, thank you and good call on the superfeet thats exactly what i need
do you need a wider boot if everything you said applied to how my skates fit on my foot, but at the toe box my toes are being squished together pretty badly? I know this isnt really related to the video. but I'm 15 and a half years old and would love to start playing ice hockey, but because this is so late to start playing, do you think I'll ever have a chance of making it professionally (in the EIHL)?

hi i have size 10d skates but the sides of my feet really hurt after about a half hour. should i get a wider skate?
How do you feel about skating w/bare feet? I've been skating this way for years, because I always felt this gave me the best power transfer. Thoughts?
im a size uk9 - uk10 should i go for a uk11 skate
Hey guys I'm age 14 size 10.0 in regular shoes what size would I be in bauer supreme totalone skates? Thanks:)
Tyler - Thanks for the informative videos. Would you still use that thin sock if playing outdoors? What do you do about cold feet, especially playing outside pond hockey?
thanks - Dave
i measured my foot my larger foot is 19.7cm in length and 7.6cm in width what size would be appropriate for me im getting Reebok Pumps
It’s ok for the foot to go over the side of the insole? Mine fit like this but I thought it’s too narrow since my foot goes over the side?
The insole test is a quick indication if the skate size is right for you. You'll want to follow the rest of the steps by trying on the skate and seeing if you have any tight pressure points. If the skate is hugging the side of your foot and putting a lot of pressure on it during your fit test, it's too narrow and you'll want to get a wider fit.

@niwliam Graf is a good skate
How do I determine width?
Thank you, Tyson.
The same applies to inlines too?
***** Thank you very much sir :) By your guide my inlines are indeed my size!

Shit I get blisters after every game. I guess it time to get new skates. I bought my current ones almost 5 years ago.

Bah, wish i had seen this video before i bought my Bauer Supreme One.9's about 1.5-2 sizes too small
It can't be APX. Release date of this clip is 2009.
I wish i would have seen this before i bought my skates. My skates are a size bigger then they should be and now i doubt i can return them now after i used them.
-__- what a waste of money. Does anyone want to but once used Bauer rx:05 roller hockey skates for $90? Price negotiable.
I remember that when I got my first pair of skates, the dipshit at the store gave me vapors. And my feet are flat and wide so I use nexus.
well, my toes really don't touch the toe caps. bad thing?
About to ask same question lol
very well, sounds good. Bought a 8 sized skate and yeah. I use inline roller blades and my toes touch the toe box on those, might buy another pair of skates. Thanks!

That guy asked:"Am I the only Russian man here?" ...kinda joke))
I mean 10.5 sorry.
no
He asked if he is the only russian here.
Hahaha he said "im the only russian here?"
Я тут один Русский?
no he said "am i the only russian here..?"
I'm pretty sure he said "I've been a Russian?" Which makes no sense.
