Another excellent video Mike I know how it feels not to be able to lift more than ten pounds it’s frustrating and you have to get someone else to do the lifting when you know you could’ve been doing it quicker than the other person 😮😊❤
That will be a nice upgrade. If you ever do something similar, make a shop vac adapter that fits your hydraulic fill hole. Create a vacuum and have a plugged piece of hose ready to put in place when you remove the lower hose and hook it back up. No need to drain the tank.
Mike , some got two Allen set screw from hydraulic pump to engine shaft. 😊 Mike it should be 20 min job if you had shut off valve build in the hydraulic line to the pump. 😊
I need to say that no matter the topic you cover, and despite that this is a line of work alien to me, I look forward to all of your videos Keep up your good work, and thank you!
Mike , should be shut off valve at the hydraulic tank 😮. Well good time to change the hydraulic fluid it do break down , don’t tell by looking at it buddy . Life of a hydraulic pump is good hydraulic fluid in it Mike . 😊
Mike it see to slow going ahead , it should be double the speed going back in cycle on a wood 🪵 splitter 😊 if it’s set up 🔝 right . Probably you don’t have a dumping valve on the wolf ridge set up 🔝 Mike . 😊
Nice video Mike. I'd be lying if I didn't chuckle at the fluid on the floor (we've all been there) I've got the pro 28c with the big bore. you think that pump is an upgrade for mine or is that the pump I've got? Probably hard to know but I'd do an upgrade if there was one available. Speedy recovery buddy!
I would just ask Bob or Chris at wolfe ridge. Heard there was a time during covid that had some different pumps. But hours might be the key. Take care.
Surprised the oil reservoir didn’t have a drain plug. Siphon pump through the filler cap would have been my choice. All this advice after the job is finished. Speedy recovery from the surgery.
Man you took a page out of my playbook Mike. It’s worse when someone helping service a backhoe loosens the hydraulic filter under pressure and everyone takes a bath. Shit taste terrible . Good fix spill and all 👍
I hope you used tape for hydraulic oil on those elbows, normal Teflon tape can dissolve into the hydraulic oil and cause clogs in the pump and filter. Most hydraulic oil fittings don't need Teflon tap. I noticed the elbow came out of the old pump without it. I hope you gain some speed. Even 1 second shorter cycle-time ads up over a few hours of splitting
Mike , some got two Allen set screw from hydraulic pump to engine shaft. 😊 Mike it should be 20 min job if you had shut off valve build in the hydraulic line to the pump. 😊 Mike I would buy all new hydraulic fluid , cost 💲 less them buy hydraulic pump for equipments. Remember all oil break down with running time on equipments for sure Mike . 😊
My normal trick is. Run ram out all the way, shut off engine, have container big enough for all oil. Remove pump output line from valve input, "([at minimum engine rpms])" start it and pump in to buckets. After empty stop engine, push ram back with straps or whatever is handy and restart engine and pump out last bit.. At that point only a small amount in tank and lines are left. Just remember to have it at a dead idel or shiz will get messy in a big hurry. LOL . Did they actually tell you the difference in pump sizes, or do they consider it top secret company info? As you didn't actually state the gpm of the 2 pumps.
Mike you got a lot of bar oil for the chainsaw in the wood 🪵 yard buddy . Something just may your day for sure , time for a rooster 🐔 foot 🦶 on iceberg ice 🧊. 😊
Mike , should take off at the pump and have a wooden plug to push into hydraulic hole . That a stupid design on wolf ridge part 😮. Like we say in the 709 you can’t fix stupid! 😮
It will be cool to see the difference with the upgrades! Nice work Mike👊🏻🍻
I will bring it too you when I can go again.
Another excellent video Mike I know how it feels not to be able to lift more than ten pounds it’s frustrating and you have to get someone else to do the lifting when you know you could’ve been doing it quicker than the other person 😮😊❤
Be glad when I can just get after it again

Good idea. Take care.
Sweet! Can’t wait to see how the new pump works for you👍👍
Should speed it up nicely. Stay tuned. Thanks.
Thanks Mike.. I'll try not to make such a mess when I take apart my Black's Creek and set up a power pack, extra pump and bigger better engine..
Do something different than me for sure. Lol.

Noticed it did have two Allen screws.

There better stuff them brass on the market today , put it cost is high $$$ . Brass is soft good 👍 for working with bearings installed Mike . 😊

Thanks for the morning comedy show..😂😂😂😂
Your welcome. Lol
👍👍
Looking forward to see how the upgrades work out for you. Hope your recovery is going well.
Nice up grades , can’t wait to see her run 👍🏻🇺🇸
You and me both!
@@nebraskawoodstr I serviced my box store splitter yesterday . Good thing is , I only had 4 gallons of fluid to clean up 😂😂😂
@@inthebackyardwithdel438 LOL 😂
Great upgrade!! Glad you got help with the hydraulic fluid!! Waiting to see it run!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Stay tuned. Thanks and take care.

There is a hundred different ways I will do next time. Wow. Lol.
At least your wrench went to the floor vs. in automotive where it disappears in the engine bay.😉👍
Lol.

Never thought about that. I will keep an eye on it. Thanks

@@BGWenterprises good tip. My guess is same size. Just figuring old one wore out. But did not ask the question.
👍💯
