The pope often gets misquoted. But in short if you genuinely believe that an unborn child has equal right to life and is a seperate person from day one then thats fine. But other comments from the pope on this issue have also stated that a mother's life comes first. So honestly being pro life means you dont have mothers dying because they miscarried etc. And you dont put her life at risk through pregnancy. But it is still sad even if nobody is to blame. Banning abortion is not the way. Education and access to contraception (preconception) and available affordable healthcare is the way forward. And if anyone starts attacking a woman for the choice she had to make then they have missed the whole mercy, compassion, no judging and love and kindness part that is the sole focus of the Gospel.
