Excellent work Steven and thank you for these informative videos on the CTX1300. Such a beautiful bike in red. Tomorrow I board a plane to pick up a 2nd hand Deluxe model and will enjoy the 9 hour ride back home.
@@itisaporscheI enjoyed it for a year until I bought a 2007 ST1300 then was onto the '18 Goldwing for 2.5 years + 2 years concurrent 5th gen VFR800. Rode the CTX up to Wyoming for the total eclipse then to UP of MI and down to Ashville NC then back west to Utah. Great trip
Hi Steve. I bought a RAM fitting to go into the centre of the steering .... you need to re,over the centre grommit and put the RAM mount in .... works fine and centres everything. I also dropped my handlebars a little to improve seeing the mirrors.
OK fellas. I found that kit with the one inch ball. The one that comes with the three different size bolts. But Steve what did you mount onto that ball that mates up with your phone case?
Hi Steven from Down Under. Love your videos of my dream bike. As far as your GPS is concerned , here in Aussieland you can get from your local bicycle shop extendable bars to put on girls bikes in order to carry them on a car bike rack. I wonder if you can get them in the UK. They have clamps on each end and so might fit across the centre gap. Might solve your problem.
Thanks for watching. I found on eBay riser extenders to bring the bars a couple of inches closer. But by adjusting the backrest to move me forward a little, problem solved. I will be making a part 3 when I get time, as I have moved the GPS to the centre of the handle bars and its a lot better place, I can now use the last mirror again. Along with a couple of other items, part 3 coming soon.
What is the cost of the saddle, I'm very interested in this bike and I'd like to know what the cost is for the extras. Does your have cruise or is it available, do you know?
Thank you for watching. The bike does not have a cruise control. I have recently changed it for a BMW K1600 which does. The lack of a cruise was one of the reasons for changing. I bought the Corbin saddle whilst working in the USA. If you compare the prices on the Corbin European website to their main website there is a very big difference. At the time it was (in round figures) £900 in the USA and £1500 in the UK. If you live in American then you do not have this problem. For my new BMW I have bought a Sargent saddle. This was £980, compared to £1500 for a Corbin. www.sargentcycle.co.uk
I am 5'6" and a new rider. I saw this bike in my local shop and fell in love with it at first sight as I am in the market for a cruiser style bike. Do you feel that this bike would be too much for a new rider or should I start with a smaller bike?
Thank you for watching. Its not that this bike is overly powerful, I'd call it quick but not fast, as in a sports bike is fast. However, I think its a big bike to start off with. It may be a good idea to get used to something smaller before graduating to a bike of this size. Its not so much the engine size, but the overall size of the bike with fairing and luggage. I also note that you are 5'6" and I am 6'1", I wonder if you can place both your feet flat on the ground at the same time? I can, just! You may want to consider having the saddle lowered if this is a problem.
Steven Upton, I am 5'8" and I'm definitely flat footed on the ground at stop on this bike. Unless this person has very short inseam, he should be able to have both feet down when stopped.
Nice bike Steven , l used to have the Kawasaki GPZ 600R , loved it , but alas got married and turned 2 wheels into 4, Now lve turned 2 into 5🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 3 kids, all the best Steven safe biking🏍
Its a Corbin. go to www.corbin.com If you buy it via their European website its very expensive. I was working in the USA for a couple of weeks and a friend ordered it for me there. Worked our nearly half the price of buying it in the UK.
www.corbin.com is their main USA site. There is a website just for Europe as well. I bought it in America as it was nearly half the price of the Europe website. I then had a friend who was visiting me in England bring it as luggage.
@@murraylraimona8046 I had no problems. I only changed because I wanted more luggage capacity and a cruise control as I wanted to do some longer range touring.

I have now re-mounted mine to the centre and its so much better. I intend doing a part 3 video showing that and how to adjust the suspension.
OK fellas. I found that kit with the one inch ball. The one that comes with the three different size bolts. But Steve what did you mount onto that ball that mates up with your phone case?
Steve eBay, have a gps mount for the CB500X Honda, it looks to have the correct hole spacing which means it should fit your machine.
I have now moved the GPS to what I consider to be the perfect location. I intend doing a part 3 film showing that and how to adjust the suspension.

Seat looks great 👍
Thank you for watching. I was a Corbin.
A Corbin seat is a must on all bikes...

Thank you for watching. I changed this Honda for a BMW K1600 two years ago.
Where did you get the seat? I need to know. I"m such a short guy and I think it would help me reach the ground better.
Its a Corbin. go to www.corbin.com

Steve, can you share the web site from where you got your seat. Thanks. Steve

Can't see from either mirror on mine unless I lean over the bars.
Thank you for watching. I can see through about two-thirds, depending upon how I am sitting. Sometime on half.
thanks for the informative video. I think you meant to say buffeting, not buffering... lol. great work though.
Thanks for watching. Your probably right.
thank you for the second video too.
And thank you for watching. I intend making a part 3 on the CTX as soon as I can get round to it.
Do you still have your CTX 1300
No, I changed it two years ago for a BMW K1600.

It certainly is. Thank you for watching. Please view the earlier video on this bike.

Thank you for watching and your feedback.
