Ukarumpa International School students play Papua New Guinea National Anthem

Join us for a heartwarming moment as the talented students of Ukarumpa International School, located in the picturesque Aiyura Valley of Eastern Highlands, proudly play the Papua New Guinea National Anthem on Friday, August 25, 2023. This touching performance was a part of the momentous launch event for the Obura-Wonenara District Five-Year Development Plan.
Nestled in the enchanting Aiyura Valley, Ukarumpa serves as the central hub for the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL), an international Christian community.
The occasion was graced by none other than the Prime Minister himself, the Honorable James Marape, who inaugurated the Obura-Wonenara plan, marking a significant step towards regional development.
As we celebrate Independence Day today, we extend our heartfelt wishes for a Happy Independence to the entire Ukarumpa community, the beautiful Aiyura Valley, the Eastern Highlands, and all of Papua New Guinea.
