Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 Winter Tires in Deep Snow

Trying to see how the Nokian Winter Tires perform on my Mercedes Benz C Class. Got to say they perform great.

You might want to consider a temp seat cover for dogs, to protect your seats, they are made of a canvas like material.

I just have about 600km on the R3's. Although no snow yet, i can vouch for them for providing low noise, comfort, and my mileage actually went up because of low rolling resistance...235-40R18

I had a "save" today with these tires. Was driving on a snow packed road about 40mph behind a private snow plow truck. There was a red car behind me. I noticed he was following a bit close. Anyway, going down a hill the traffic light turns red. I notice the plow truck trying to stop but the ass end of his truck was sliding out. Quick glance in the rearview and numb nuts behind me is out of control so I bail to the left turn lane so he would hit the plow truck. Dude ended up taking his car off the road and up a hill to avoid the plow truck.
I had no problems braking and never engaged the ABS stopping at that light.

Next time turn off the traction control/esc and then you'll have much better results. Traction control and ESC just gets in the way.

You know, it would make much more sense (if you're trying to do a proper tire-test) to do it with a less capable rear wheel drive vehicle just to prove the tire-perfomance alone. AWD cars already have a major traction advantage, and you'd probably achieve decent traction performance even with average all-season-tires
