After my dad passed, I just didn't cry. Not because I didn't want to rather because they didn't come. Then one day, I came across the video, Monsters, and wept.
The song hit me personally because he had dementia and reached the point where he often did not recognize me but I knew he loved me, I remembered my daddy and how he would keep the monsters away.
Lovely singer ❤blessings
James Blunt and Iam Tongi were magical and passionate on the AI finale🎶💕💯.
I think it has to be the most intense and Powerful song for a Dad ever written. What amazing Men GOD Bless you both and your family.
In my mind, it's the most brutal love song ever written. Song about love, if not love song..
James your amazing man,the song monsters I listen everyday coz my father passed away 1month back ago with rare blood malignant disorder .
Still weeping lonely ...love you father.
You're physically your not with me but you're always with me as of thoughts of you.
Sorry dear father ..
He’s such a gentle soul and artist. I been listening to James blunt 15 years now. One of kind person an artist
Thank you, James Blunt, for your amazing support of Iam!!!!
TY FOR being human.... being real..and recently supporting Iam on stage....
Im an ICU RN transplant nurse... The gift of life is like no other-- if only more people were knowledgeable about it..
I'm deeply impressed by his intellect, his depth, and his humility.
I so agree with you ... to put it blunt-ly!! For me, I watched American Idol and saw James Blunt singing Monsters with Iam Tongi and was so deeply touched by the powerful performance and the kindness of James Blunt with Iam Tongi.
A decent....young man....honest and truthful....and straight forward....
Love this song because I don’t think men are recognized enough for the sacrifices that they make for their family. I get that mothers are also but I imagine there is a whole lot that a father does that no one ever acknowledges. Regardless if they love a job or not they work it, even down to what they eat I would bet a lot make do to provide for their family first. It don’t matter if a man had a dream the second he becomes a father his desires and dreams go to the way side. Even in the birth of his kids he is expected to go right back to work. Vacations become what his family wants. People need to just look around and realize that person you call dad was once just a man that decided to make his family his new dream and say thank you!
not too many artist can tear u up like James
My father was ill when you realesed this song and he passed away 2 yrs ago.i miss him everyday and still shed a tear when monsters is played
I’m so happy for him and of course his father. I lost my husband, this past August 23, to the same disease. I just heard Monsters this morning. Started to watch the video. Saw the emotion in James eyes. So I had to find out more about the song. When I read it, I thought, how ironic. I have good days, but mostly bad days still. I’ve had a couple of bad days. This song and video made me cry for about 20 minutes I’m talking bawling like a baby. But I actually feel better. I usually do after a good cry. But I can’t just sit down and force myself to cry like I need to. Thank you James for helping me out. God bless you and your family
Beautiful tribute to your dad. 😢
James, Watching your video. And that song “monsters “ came at a time of my healing I was ready to hear it. Losing my father was devastating😢 this song gave my sister and I an outlet that spoke so close to our hearts. Thank you so much. Thank you for sharing your vulnerability to speak to our own. 🥰🥰
I recently listened to James Blunt singing Monsters on American Idol with Iam Tongi. It was so emotional!
I'm quite impressed with the loose women here; they all joined in enthusiastically and seemed genuinely interested in their guest. Good job!
I've always loved James Blunt!❤
Most honest beautiful song I've ever heard. My granddaddy and my daddy are both gone the 2 great loves of my childhood
What a Man! And yeah, it's way past 2006 James. Keep it going Mate!!!
I have been a fan for many years. Your music speaks to my heart. Thank you

I love how you love your father. I love my father that way. It's a matter of time. My father's heart is bigger than me Literally.

He's beautiful. I'm in love 💖😄
It's ok to be a father, we're not all bad... Thank you for honouring yours.
Great music James
LOVe you JAMES
Why does the woman in light green interrupt so much? A few times I was wanting to hear the rest of his response..and she changed the subject back to something already spoken about. Strange.
My favourite part was the pictures and video clip. They're very high quality
James Blunt for President❤
I love James Blunt, but his voice and many of his songs just fill me up with sad.
Awesome guy 😊
I loved his original albums as they were so heartfelt. I kinda stopped listening as his new stuff was just pop music to me. Glad to hear this new album he is returning to making himself vulnerable.
I'm not a follower of him, of course i know his songs, I've just heard him singing with a young man on American's got talent, I had to dry my eyes, I am now listening to his songs. He is definitely someone i would like to have a drink and a chat with
❤❤❤
They keep interrupting him. Annoying.
Women... We can never stop them..
They wanna smoke that blunt
Ha... Women ☕
That was annoying for sure
I’m a guy.. for whatever reason , i read your comment and watched the video.. and I thought they didn’t interrupt him that much 😊😮 ..
❤
El mejor de argentina soy Moster grande un grande
I’m just finding out about this song.😢

As ex-forces, you are a hero james
Endearing 🎉
Ich James Blunt Konzert
He looks innocent like a kid..
Whos that blonde lady on the right? She keeps interrupting him when he's talking. It's so rude 😢
Who picked the name of the show?...........Genghis Khan ?
This is just painful to watch. And not because of the topic, but because of the constant interuptions and awkward remarks. The viewers are mostly watching to hear what your guest are saying, and your guest nearly didn't get to finish a sentence...
I loved his music and his voice but his lyrics are blunt ideology when I thought of it after the initial appreciation. In our culture it is ungrateful to say "you're not my Father, and Am not your son."
Ok good for your culture.🤷🏾♀️
In that moment of deep and honest vulnerability. Not as a defining meaning 🤦♀️
My interest in your culture is
