Nice video. You should try drilling a small hole. Put in a screw or a screw extractor and simply pull the seal out. Steel against aluminum isn’t the best idea.
First off why did you not clean the rust off the shower before working on the seal and why are using a hammer and a screwdriver it’s like your parents are brother and sister and your family tree is a 2 x 4
