Chante's first album came out in 1992 and it was perfect, It is great to see people still listening to her today and seeing how great she is at singing. She is now 57yo and her voice is still wonderful, she should have been a bigger star because her music was always so beautiful

With the Singer, every song that is sung is always a bit longer than the original, so there is always something extra/unique added by the singer in question. I completely agree with you that this is the best cover version of the song. I'm very curious to hear what Alicia Keys thinks about it.❤❤
Frankly, it's sad to come back to Hunan for the Singer's reopening just to hear some foreign ladies like Moore and Faouzia. Better to stay at home. That said, Chinese contestants, in this first episode, were not exactly up to Singer's usual standards (Dimash, Huahua, Tengger, Huo Zun, GEM, Huang Ma, Shang Wenjie, Zhou Shen, Huang XiaoYun, Tia Ray, Liu Huan, etc.). The once prestigious Na Ying is starting to age, the young Rainie Yang was disappointing, Wang Su Long shared a certain emotion but nothing more... In short : Episode 1 without wow !
Na Ying may be getting older, but she sang her own song Mo/Silence full of emotion. She was nervous, and that is noticeable at the first little beginning part, but she picked it up nicely again, old age does not mean that her singing becomes less. But okay, I love Na Ying and I love the song Silence, so maybe I'm not really listening objectively. I have noticed that there is a lot of commotion and Global Times is writing about a wakeup call for Chinese music industry.

Besides, you know what it's like with old age : at times there are drops in energy, followed by a rebound. I recently said the same thing about Huang Qi Shan... and a few weeks later I noticed she was still in great shape. That's old age. Ups and downs. Poor us !
