I have a 2011 base Honda fit...no screen, no backup or dash cam, no GPS...just a basic CD Player/AM/FM. If at all possible use the Aux jack from your old car stereo to ANY brand CarPlay device for audio output. Bluetooth compresses audio and affects both quality, latency and volume. Using the FM Transmitter function sounds even worse. On Aux, the sound is far superior regardless of which brand of aftermarket CarPlay device you buy. I also made a very small, clean hole just behind my dash A/C vent (not visible when sitting in the car) and routed all the wires together (including the rear cam) out of the device for a nice custom look. I am no "pro" but it took me about 30 minutes. I am very happy with the functionality of this basic CarPlay device which includes dash and backup cam but without the ability to play streaming Video (mirror link). That seems unnecessary and down right dangerous. Frankly, most of these budget devices are likely made in the same couple of factories in China....so you get what you pay for.
Ive got the one he showed first, „the trash one“ and i am very happy with it. It work incredibly good and i payed 40€ for it ok Aliexpress. Shipping was like a week wich is pretty good for it being delivered to germany, the aufio is crisp, and it connects way faster than what it took for his „better option“
Agree! They gave me a unit with terrible quality. the reverse cam broke in 2 days of installation, the screen has started wobbling so much that the front cam footage is so shaky that the plates are now un readable. They edited my review and made a 2 star review into a 4 star review and removed the cons i had posted. They want money for a warranty replacement. The aftersales is terrible. Please stay away from Seicane.
@@FullJikamaYou clearly don’t know what you’re talking about..company’s send products for free in exchange for a review to channels with 1k subs depending on the product.

I got the Carpuride 103w and it's trash. Wireless AA/CP only works 20% of the time. Multiple firmware upgrades didn't fix the issue. Audio through Aux recently started to muffle.
There's pros and cons to everything 😂 , You can get an in dash set up a dose are more expensive and you have to take your old system out your car apart. Having these type of systems where you can do it on your dashboard just hang against the windshield It has its own issues
Seicane in my experience is trash, got the tesla screen on my land cruiser it fried the AC unit, which was a pretty hefty price to fix. threw it in the trash too. plus their customer service is not good. always blamed me for bad install
I think they main reason why they tend to fail its because a lot of people mount it above their dash. where the heat from the sun will cook the device. I reckon if you mount it somewhere that is not on direct sunlight, it would work without problems. I'm curious to know if there is a delay between the phone and the device itself when you are using apps like waze or google maps connected via bluetooth. and is there is way to connect your phone to the device via USB? or is it purely just bluetooth?
Good idea, I think about that too as my phone always overheats, but hey ima gonna tint out every window with ceramic soon anyways so we’ll see 😭😂 I just can’t decide on which one of these car plays are good or not . ( going into a work van )
Can the Lamtto also receive FM stations? I'm asking, because my car has a factory head unit with different frequency range than which is used in my area.
I have the 6.86" widescreen version of the same screen, the better one, with the same annoyances on the tap/startup sounds. It would be great, however, it keeps crashing out to the main screen every 60 seconds or so. Not what you want when navigating. One good thing with it is it gives you an option to route audio to your phone/other bluetooth device, so with that you can route the music over bluetooth to the car head unit. It's a bit weird 'cos both are connected via bluetooth and you can still use the audio controls on the screen, but the audio comes out over the car stereo. No need for the aux audio cable. Even without it not connected simultaneously to the car, it still crashes out, so sadly it has to go back.
Great video. I ❤your MB 190. One question remaining about the 9 Inch LAMTTO Display. I currently have a rebranded 7" LAMTTO device (T86-1A0EE8), but I am considering to update, because I want to replace my current backup video system and have only one screen remaining in my car. I am also pretty content with all the features and quality of the 7" device. However... my wife is complaining about the carkit functionality of the device. She complains she cannot hear me well enough. So I guess the microphone is not super and/or the combination of audio feedback over my car speakers via FM is causing issues. It results in me ending up using my Airpods for making phone calls, which kind of kills the audio experience playing music and stuff. I now need to take my phone out of my pocket and change audio output, as CarPlay (for safety reasons, I guess), doesn't allow you to do so. So... What's your experience with the 9" LAMTTO making handsfree calls?
I have a question about the camera. I noticed that you clicked the rear view camera app, but I wanted to know if it was possible to do this without connecting it to the reverse light? For example, could I, before parking my car, just click the rear view camera app (while the camera is plugged up) and just reverse in ? I ask because I don’t have the tools. Also, how is the product holding up thus far? Great video
Hay there Jaay! Yes, you can! You do not need to wire up the reverse lights. BUT, if you wanted to, its pretty simple with these: amzn.to/44ksaK8 Nothing to complain about so far!
You say you wanna see how it boots up and connects to your radio, so why is there a cut in between 2:31 and 2:32? Why not show the actual, real time it takes to boot up?
I'm sorry this looks a waste of money.. just get a better head unit... if you're only option is to transmit via fm transmitter than id rather just get an fm transmitter for £10 or less... it literally does the same job
SHOOT, I meant to add that to the video.. I made a mental note but totally forgot. I’ll remember next time since you said something. One thing to note is that it’s difficult to show the quality of the audio since it’s going through my mic, then back through your speakers.
