After blanching for 2 minutes, it's advised to place in an ice bath for a few minutes to stop the cooking process!! Then drain for a few minutes on paper towels or a clean tea towel and place in freezer bags, label and freeze!!

I guess if you’re using them for stews and soups the ice dunking isn’t as important. I got 15 so I’m doing it his simple way.

Thank you. Got about 15 small cabbage 🥬 and was dreading the process of the leaves and the ice water dunking, hahahaha. I will do your method tomorrow morning and freeze them for stews and soup. 👍

Buble and sqeeuk😍 in the Netherlands we call it stampot. But my dear English friends made me the "stampot" with cabadge which i never had...and i love it. And just to hear that dish make me happy. Just like bangers and mash Sunday Roast and Scones with clothed cream and jam. O how I miss England and my friends. Thanks for the good tips.

Does it just come out soggy or will it actually go bad?

The secret is to only boil it for a few minutes when you use it after freezing or it can go soggy, I find 5 minutes is plenty. Have returned the sub to your channel :)
