I would have removed the box vents as they may short circuiting the air flow. Thanks for your video. I'm switching to UHDZ as I was going with the HDZ until I saw this.

Looks beautiful! I’m contemplating upgrading to the uhdz, but already have to replace all my roof sheathing. So it might be out of budget. I wish you showed some more finished shots from the street!
There are a lot of trees in the neighborhood and in front of my house. I did try to find a beauty shot from the driveway, but you could see little of the roof. I should have gotten atop a leader and taken it from the street- I haven't thought of this idea until now. I'm sorry.
We are building a new house and are using mitten brownstone for board & batten and vinyl, margaux beige for stone veneer. Should we use Gaf charcoal or canadian driftwood shingles for roof
Indeed, there are. The company is a little stiff when it comes to warranty. Strict on installation, and some roofers would prefer something other than what they perceive as a lack of unconditional support. This is the reason I chose a GAF Master Elite roofer. The company then backs both the material and installation. The roofer charged me about $8,000 to install, about $3,000 more than a run-of-the-mill crew may have charged for the same job. But, about $1,000 less than an insurance repair contractor would have recived.
Not sure about "haters" but I am about to have my roof replaced and every shingle test I've seen out here has GAF performed dead last in almost every category.
@sheflin17 I've been happy with UHDZ one year in, but you can find bad reviews on most of these (Malarkey may be an exception). I will say this, granular loss has been basically zero and that was a high priority

@sheflin17 most of those single shingle tests are pretty worthless, you want to actually talk to people who have it on their roof and look at warranty
