Lots of great tips Tiffany. I used a little fabric glue to hold my blades down and Heat ‘n Bond Lite for center circle. Need to order Stitch Witchery and interfacing. Looking forward to Wednesday. See you then.
This was so cool. I purchased Stephanie’s Dresden template months ago but hadn’t sat down to watch a tutorial. Your instructions are so helpful. Thank you 😊
Hi Tiffany! One of my subscribers told me I should check out your channel since you are doing a Dresden series too! Mine is a mini pattern! Lovely video!
Awesome and welcome. I may have watched yours. I will go see. Edit... I been subscribed for a long time haha. I watch your videos. I knew the name was familiar
This looks like a fun quilt to make! I have a lot of catching up on your videos but i’m looking forward to that!😁 I hope all went well with your test and hoping I find out in the next few videos. I’m not sure if you;re going live at 11:30 today but I’ll be popping in to see. 🥰
Today is Sew Sunday at 5pm MST. I will be working on a side project I randomly started yesterday 😄. Ill be back on with the Dresden's at 11am Monday. Then off Tues but back again Wednesday till I finish.
Comment # 2 lol 😂 I did everything I thought the same as you, my middle is good, my fabric is good, but my Dresden looks so pretty but…………..it’s not FLAT won’t lay FLAT!! Seems to bunch in the middle! Do I redo?? What would Tiff Do??
Yeiks give it a good starch and press and then just quilt it with puffy poly batting to hide any chunky seams or parts. It happens they don't all come out perfect. I don't know why or how it just does
Could and could not be. If its just the center find the block/seam that is causing the ripple and then make the seam just a scant bigger and then press again. Sometimes they don't lay flat. You could also sew them in sets of 5 and press then attach into 10 and press then sew the 2 seams left and press.
@@TiffanysQuiltingLife ❤️❤️❤️🌻🌻 I’ll try ironing more. I did not iron after sewing the first two together(chain piecing). I finally got it flat. I guess practice, practice, practice is part of the solution! Thank you so much for your answering!! I love your videos❤️❤️ and your being silly 😀😀😀❤️❤️
On a dresiden plate is there a way to attach a backing at the beginning of sewing them together to avoid doing it at the end? Also the middle circle? Ty
Do you have any tips and calculating how many blades you need when working with ties? I laid 1/4 of my Dresden out and counted but not sure if this is correct. Then multiply by 4?
It is a 24x64 inch piece of quarter inch plywood. It's on a grated tpe iron board bolted in. I do have a few videos that are old about it. Then it's covered with 2 layers of wool and a cotton sheet.
Great video! Thanks for the large block size, it makes a big quilt kind of quick!
Yup it does. The part that takes time is the applique stitching down all the dresdens uhggg 😆
Watching replay from Houston. I love Dresdens!
Pretty block with easy and clear instructions!
Thank you 😊
You are so lucky to have a good helper.
Yup 😄
So glad I see this, it's on my recent bucket list!
Love this video! Thank you. I am finally tackling my first Dresden.
Tiffany i love it❤❤
🦋Awesome tutorial, Tiff🦋. 🕊♥️🕊
Phenomenal job this will be on my list for down the road to do

Great presentation Tiff! You make everything easier, you are clever! I enjoyed it and will be happy when my back allows me to sew again. 🤩
Awe thanks for watching 😊
You make this look so very easy! I’m going to try and make one. I love ❤️ my stitch Witchery !! Use it all the time!!
Yup it works great for what we need to hold in place 😊

Scott you looked like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar taking that fabric off the table. LOL 😂❤
Excellent 👍😊

Hello Tiffany ❤
Hello 👋
Hi Tiff... I was watching today and thought maybe make a cuff like Robin from Rsislandcrafts to protect your wrist.
I will have to go look
I have made a dresden before, just checking on how you are doing it.
Thank you
Welcome!
I had a problem with my block not laying flat in the center? Was that due to not having a consistent 1/4” the full length? 😊🌻

@@berniechamberlain2433 I am glad you got it 😃
Im still waiting for my ruler
Hope it comes soon
On the replay 3 years later.
I made a block like that in a Quilt I made
That's awesome 👌

Honestly I am not sure. I don't think so 🤔 But then someone out there probably has done it.
@@nonyabizness.original ty very much! Happy travels and 🧵🙋

I've not done ties but if you laid out 1/4 of it then you should have that times 4 yes.
I am wondering how you made your large ironing surface?

What sewing machine are you using to see the dresden blades?
I used my Juki TL-2010Q to piece and my Brother SQ9285 to applique
@@TiffanysQuiltingLife thank you. I have a brother 1500s.
So i cant see the link for facebook. Thank you fir any information.
