I'm becoming a fan of German's explanations and classes, the clarity of the things he says are truly amazing. I would really like him to create his own channel. Dale Germán copate que sos crack! Abrazo desde Argentina y buen video!
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Was going to say «He’s dutch»😂
You should check Garrido's kicksmash and his flexibility for compensating the arch. Really interesting video!
Javi Garrido almost doesn’t use kick. Is a “power guy”. That’s why he’s nickname is “Metralleta” is roughly translates to “The Machine Gun”. 😂 Great guy, the Khalifa.
We don’t have footage of that unfortunately!
also, please invite German as often as it is possible
💪🏼💪🏼
Very informative. I'll try tomorrow. Screw the 50% rule, you have to start at some point.
Sure agree you have to start at some point. But I think the "rule" more applies to matches and it makes sense if you want to win and not give away the match or give away too many points. In training or training matches I'd say go for it but you should not train in competition matches, imo.
Hahaha vamooos! Lets do it
Yes I agree Seb. Also for the sake of your partner :)
@@OtroNivelPadel Yes exactly. In my experience protecting your partner in general is somewhat a not so known thing or thought about especially with players in general on intermediate level. I often encounter people making shots that puts me in a bad situation.
Maybe that is a topic for a future video? 😉😀
I've practiced over 300 kick smashes, I'm really struggling with timing, could you please provide some tips on how to perfect the timing.
I will make video on that!
I reallly liike this video. From time to time its good to upload more advance content. Thanks!
Thanks! When we are in marbella we make more!
Good video! Do you have footage from Lamperti or Chingotto smashes?
Unfortunately not
Super video
Thanks
if you cant lift you leg that high you cant arch that much either, your body will not allow because it will always try to compensate to not fall
Yes totally agree! Makes sense. Yoga training it is
I don’t believe Paquito’s smash is technically legal.
If the ball is hit with a padel bat that has been launched at it, not supported at the handle by the player - I don’t think at the point of contact it’s supported by his hand at the handle. By letting go of the bat he can get more spin.
But I’m not certain and we don’t have VAR so probably he should still get the point.
Thanks for your message :)
Hey, do you change your grip for the power smash? I sometimes c players doing it but not always.
Powersmash I play continental
I m very curious to know if Navarro releases his racket as a conscious technique to add speed to the racket, or if it is just that the racket gets loose as a consequence of his holding it very softly to keep his wrist more flexible and elastic..
I'd bet is the latter.
It´s the first one, he told this story on many interviews. Also, its a legal move, as long as you hold the racket when you touch the ball. Just like in tennis, you cant throw the racket to hit the ball
It’s part of his technic. If you play close attention his racket has a bigger handle (not sure if this is the correct word in English) and he strips his racket and only plays with an overgrip. This two factors allows him to play, like all professional do, with his hand 75% or even 50% out of the handle which gives him the the ability to play tons of shots using only his wrist. Try it. At first you will feel awkward but, when you get used to it, you start playing shoots that you never thought you could do.
He uses his wrist a lot, so he has a very loose grip
@@OtroNivelPadel yep, but I would be very curious to ask him if his letting go of the racket is a conscious technical decision or if it is just something that "happens"
How much does the racket with ribbed surface help with kick/slice?
In regards to rackets that have totally smooth surface?
IMHO, nothing at all. I’m not 100% sure but I believe none of this players rackets have a rough surface. The Bullpadel Hack that Paco uses I can assure you it doesn’t have. That’s the racket I use every year and I also tried with a sand like type of rough surface (like the Vertex) and you experience the placebo effect. It gives you more confidence to brush the ball to get all kinds of spins but, when you return to a smooth surface racket, you will see you get the same results. 😮
@@pfonseca67 I agree. I think you can feel the sandpaper surface when you hit the ball but I have played with Bullpadel Vertex for some time and the sandpaper surface has worn down so it's smooth at the sweetspot and I don't make less spin now compared to when the racket was new. So I guess it's a comfort and feel thing more than anything.
Its seems to be 3% extra effect with rough survace

Tapia
Vamoos
Leo Augsburger?
No footage 🥲
@@OtroNivelPadel there’s some footage 😊
Would be Interesting to see an analysis about Leo’s smash. How is it so good and how he can generate so much power with short/difficult preparation
