    dejada/chiquita is also more important than smashes imo at intermediate level for taking advantage of the #1 on your list, great video

    Position trumps most. I have seen many slow or not technical players but they are always in the right position. And being in right position conserves so much energy like many run or move way more than necessary due to bad position.

I was wondering, I watch your *1minute padel reviews” also but is it possible to do this in a longer format? I don’t have the possibility to test rackets, so some good buying videos would be much appreciated! Greetings from a 42y old belgian wannabe padel player 😅

      @@OtroNivelPadel a question I have about serving that might be good to include - do I need to bring the racket all the way up high above my head like the pros do?

    • @OtroNivelPadel

      It depends if you want to serve with slice or flat. But your preparation should be higher than the ball

    Sven, one more question (sorry😅) are there any exercises we can do in the backyard at home, i really love the game and want to improve but don’t have the budget to practice with a trainer (kids are costly 😅). I also saw the “Exit padel rebounder” is this something you would suggest for home use?

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  3 дні тому

      Well you can, but I don’t believe its going to help your game massively. Its better to do footwork exercises and hand eye coordination drills

  • @krheide1
    @krheide1 16 днів тому +1

    Can you explain why you advice Sasha to hit earlier after the glass? I think I'm making the same mistake. I thought it would be better to wait for the ball to come to you because you have more time. It must be harder to make the hit correctly just after the ball has rebounded? And I'm a leftie playing on the right so I'm trying to do this on my backhand.

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  16 днів тому +1

      It is only harder because you think its harder 😃
      Because you have to move less and the longer you wait the more the ball comes into your body. So it your opponent plays fast to the sidewall, you have to take it straight after. Otherwise you are still moving back when the ball is coming to you

    • @krheide1
      @krheide1 15 днів тому

      @@OtroNivelPadel that makes sense, although my return position usually is just one step in front of the back wall, so I thought I would get there even before a fast serve comes. Anyway - hitting the ball immediately after the glass takes a lot of practice I guess. Thanks a lot👍

    @johanvanwambeke723 19 днів тому +1

    Positioning is important for your game, but also for the partner. Having it on nr1 will not only help you. But it 2x the amount of players.
    Immaging the mathematics your partner has to do if you have unpredictable positioning.
    He/she has to try and compensate for your position, making their game worse as well.

    Hard agree with #1 and #2! But an important point for #2 is HOW you decide where to play. Because some days you can't get anything right and the best decision is to play easy and "just put the ball in".

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  18 днів тому
