I started working back in the late 60's, early 70's and I've had a few bosses in my life. I came to realize some were horrible to work for but I would have to say that all in all, most were good. You, Mr. DIGG have to be the best boss I've ever wittnessed... and that includes being my own boss for a few years. I realize having a camera on you changes things but I have a feeling being employed by you would make for wonderful work life.
in stow pride in his work force , leads by not being afraid of getting hands dirty too,, the camera shows he proud of what they are accomplishing !nice too see the progress
Those blocks look soooo much better than anything around here. Pride in work is hard to find. You got a crew that takes a lot of pride. Keep those boys around as long as you can.
More prayers for your dad. My wife broke her hip and we could not get her to have the surgery. Kaiser did a 30 year study and concluded it shortens a persons life by ten years, or, it adds ten years to the ones who are fortunate enough to have it done. We had a good 39 years together, I'm left with all good memories. Hey, 39 years is a long, long time. Best regard's and good health to you and yours🙏
Andreas does a great job. Keeps it all organized and clean. Very resourceful using the extra concrete, tires and the machine for the rebar. The rock and horse patterns are great.
Great stuff Ryan. You have good people working for you. The young man making blocks takes pride in what he does. Don't see that much anymore. Hope your dad does well. Thanks for sharing 👍
What an ingenious idea to make use of 100% usable concrete that is excess from poured concrete construction jobs. That's great because considering the concrete is free and you've probably already made your money back for the cost of the molds and anything else used repeatedly to make the blocks, what you're making on the blocks is either pure profit or almost pure profit. Great job! That's a fantastic use for concrete that would ordinarily just be dumped & then nobody would be able to use it the way you're making use of it. I HAVE TO GIVE YOU 5 STARS FOR CAPITOLIZING ON MAKING USE OF CONSTRUCTION WASTE TO MAKE POSSIBLY THE HEAVIEST RETAINING WALL BLOCKS THAT ARE IN USE. I THINK YOU DESERVE AN AWARD FOR YOUR SUPREME THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!
You have a great crew, looks like they enjoy their job's and are dedicated. You are a great boss, not afraid to help out and do the same things your crew is doing.
I use to operate a much smaller version of this JCB and I cannot over emphasize how versatile and useful this machine is! I usually used the Hydrolic Claw and to be honest, I think using that claw to load the Shredder would be better on fuel than using the Excavator and it would grab more trash also. Give it a try! Dave
Man…25 of these would be perfect for a hill I have to repair. Glad I found this channel…I was previously dreading having to use landscaping paver blocks. These are such a better alternative! I’ll have to find a local company to source these, but thank you for the 💡! Great channel too 👍🏻👍🏻 Good luck to your dad too!
Ryan you are mistaken the plane blocks are less expensive not cheaper, you have shown us the pride and workmanship you're team puts in those blocks, great video 👍👍👍👍👍
Speedy recovery for your Dad . Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate and explain how its done. Really appreciate it your Mans doing an awesome job.that work separates you blocks from the rest 👌👍 stay safe and keep doing what you're doing. 🇨🇦 Craig
Prayers for your Dad's recovery. I am bionic. :). I had 2 new.knees 20 years ago and 2 new hips 10 years ago. I think my right knee needs a grease zerk fitting. It squeeks on cold days. :)
Another well put together video Ryan. I need some blocks for a loading dock and a retaining wall around the barn. Hope your dad recovers well from the hip surgery
When I asked you to show us more on the retaining wall blocks, I never thought it would be in the next video. Thanks I guess even at 56, the kid in me enjoyed watching the Volvo bust up the concrete. LetsDig has been running a concrete crusher for his last few videos. Hope your Dads surgery and recovery goes well.
Love the way you don’t let anything go to waste. You seem like a very respectable boss. Love the videos. Mike on dirt perfect uses a lot of those blocks. God bless your dad hope he gets better soon. Sounds like me hardheaded and can’t stay down long.
Cleaning up the concrete washout from the weekend, seems like if one of your heavier dozers isn't a half day crawl across the property away and it has good grousers would make quick work. Run it over to bust it up then push it to the edge.
Your blocks are a quality product...the young fella is doing a great job on them. Really nice to see such a great work ethic too...👍 Thank you for showing us how it's done...😊
Hey Ryan awesome job explaining the process of your concrete block Andreas does amazing work there give the boy a beer for me mate 😂😂 couldn’t believe how much concrete was waisted on the rock pile from just one day crazy buddy but give a good example of how it was done to how’s its recycled now hope your dad has a speedy recovery thanks for sharing with us Ryan 🍻🍻🍻
have you looked at getting a clamp for the telehandler like the ones they use to set concrete traffic barriers it would eliminate the need to use the chain when handing the blocks after they are out of the mold. it would increase the blocks per hour that could be moved and make for a safer operation by not having to get in and out of the telehandler constantly to hook and unhook or having a man in the danger zone to hook and unhook.
Another possible product for the extra concrete would be some cast concrete 8'+ 'curb and gutter'. Would be suitable for non spec jobs..i.e. driveways for homes, farms, small mom&pop parking areas, etc.
Another great video very interesting on the concrete blocks and more important hope your dad up and about real soon keeping you lads in line stay safe Ian uk
Need to tell your guys to run a loader over to the concrete dump areas on the weekend and backblade the concrete before it sets up. Way easier than trying to bust up that stuff on Monday morning with 24-48 hrs cure time on it.
You never fail to provide great content. This was very interesting, thanks for sharing! Prayers to your Father, best wishes for a quick recovery! Altoona PA
Mate hope your dad has a good surgery and good recovery so he can get back doing what he does .wow those blocks the machines the landfill man what an awesome life you lead, keep it up love the videos
Been wondering how this is done. Thank you. Rather suspect that you put a bit more effort into your blocks. They look a whole lot better than most that I've seen.
Hope Pops comes through it pretty quick. Btw I purchased probably 100 blocks a year over here in Texas, and we do bust a lot of them especially ones that are poured on top of each other like two different trucks but most of them have six rebar in them standing straight up kind of like a domino.
@@TheRealMrDiGG you made the comment about maybe painting the blocks that look like bricks. What if you had a series of templates made that you could use to paint the individual bricks? Maybe three or four depending on how many different colors you want to use. And those then could be any colors. Same could be done for the horse blocks as well. Just a suggestion. But being able to make a few more bucks on an already cool product.
Great video..! I always wondered how those blocks came about. Is it up to the truck driver to screed the concrete, or which pattern mold to put it in, or is Andreas on scene pretty much for all that… Dad will be fine, they will have him up walking around 5minutes after he comes out from under anesthesia… Thank you sir.
The concrete people in nw ohio just coat forms in a thin coat of vegetable oil to prevent walls from sticking to concrete forms. Not sure how expensive anti-stick solution is but vegetable oil is dirt cheap In large volumes.
Thank you dad is in recovery now. Nothing on the gold haven’t found anybody willing to travel to give me advice and haven’t had the time to revisit the subject unfortunately but I will soon.
Awesome video. They look great. So are the blocks ready to come out of the molds the next day? How many days do they cure before they are ready to sell?
G’day Mr Dig, nice vid. I have concrete railway sleepers as a retaining wall. These are molded to look like old wooden railway sleepers. Have you thought of these to sell? Enjoy the channel and only stumbled on the channel 6 weeks ago. From Australia 🇦🇺
I wish we could get a 24/7 live stream of the RotoChopper eating wood. I love watching that beast of a machine run.
I’ll get ya something soon!
That little step of agitating / vibration make such a difference to the block quality. Nice one.
Yes it does make all the difference! 👍
Prayers for speedy recovery for your dad

good to see the scrap wire being sorted
We try!
Sweet truck! When we got new service trucks, we had one day to swap over. Looks like Rolando may have to take a few weeks between repair/service work.
That fella worked on swapping everything over this past weekend, I thinks hes almost got everything moved over. He’s in heaven!
Good looking blocks….mcuh better than dirt perfect uses
We’re pretty proud of them! Thank you so much for watching
@@TheRealMrDiGG enjoy watching
Awesome videos thanks for sticking around and showing the whole process most guys would get a 1 min video and go back to the office
lol, it’s good for me to see the whole process & see where we might can improve. 👍👍
seeing how the decorative molds got used was cool. It ended up I did know it worked but was very nice to see it in action.

The blocks are an ingenious way of dealing with waste concrete. If you've got it, you might as well turn it into a product!
Waste not want not

Handle a lot of those blocks in the oil and gas field with a telehandler
Oh yeah??
I live in Oshkosh where those concrete trucks are made and I had a job driving them 1500 miles to Salt Lake City.

Just a thought on the concrete forms with the mold in them you can cover those for rainy days with plywood. Helps keep the water out when it rains 👍🏼
Great idea
I work for a concrete company here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania an that how we do it!
That’s actually exactly what they do

They come out of the moles of the very next day, then sit in the stack for 20+ days
Have you ever thought of making jersey barriers for the state?
Thought about it but without buying or making concrete, I don’t have enough supply
Looks like the ready rock blocks
