Watching the excavator feeding the chipper makes me wonder if a knuckle-boom loader wouldn't actually be a very good machine with its rotating grapple instead of an excavator. It wouldn't need to relocate as much to handle loading, the heel would be great for swinging logs into place and the elevated cab would provide excellent visibility. With the downturn in the logging industry, you should be able to get one for a excellent price. Just putting my respectful $.02 in.
Do you ever mix colored batches of the mulch for a playground or anything? Like if ones not selling as well and you have a order for a playground, do you mix that mulch in to get it out of the way?
We sell a playground mulch that has to pass a certification to be allowed on playgrounds. They’re very specific on what kind of size, and shape the mulch has to be. But right now everything is selling faster than we can make it. But even if it wasn’t, that’s not somthing we can do.
