5 Foot LEGO Britannic Model Sinking [Video 2]

- Several Clips of my Britannic Model Sinking
The Britannic was the sister ship of the famous Titanic. Unlike the Titanic, the britannic served as a hospital, instead of a passenger ship, due to the outbreak of WWI. Besides sharing the same design the two ship shared the same fate, sinking to the bottom. On November 21, 1916 the Britannic most likely struck a mine dealing a fatal blow, sinking in 40 minutes.
--NOTICE: this not an accurate recreation of how the ship actually sank!
After around total 30 attempts on 3 different days, I have given up on trying to get it sink correctly. The model is too top heavy.
This model is 5'8" long, and is constructed with roughly 5,500 LEGO bricks. To get this model to float, it is filled coins to make it sink.
To build your own, grab your parent's credit card and buy a lot of LEGOs. A 3d model to assist you in building your own LEGO Britannic is available below, you will need LEGO Digital Designer software installed on your PC to view it.

You should put mini cameras inside some of the Hall's rooms and film them flooding with water.
Is this a serious question?
Yes. 100 years ago today on November 21st, 1916, the HMHS Britannic sank. Rest in peace to the 30 people who died on this day 100 years ago in the Britannic tragedy.... Rest in peace, Britannic... :,(

Titanic Spells the Ship Sinks Slow Underwater;and Brittanic Spells the Ship Sinks Fast Underwater!
Shot 2 is perfect than any other shots.
0:35 the best Lego britannic sinking ever
It just started sinking right away
Even though it wasn't meant to be a realistic representation of the actual sinking back in 1916, it did sink somewhat similar to the real ship. The ship sank bow first while having a great list to starboard, hitting the "sea bed" (bottom of pool) then going down. Nice job mate.
*LEGO MISTAKES*
I made my own mini Britannic Out of Lego And I'm proud
wow i could never put time into a thing like this 5 feet its so big and long! it would easily take me 1 year to make 1 of these. you have a good talent. good luck on other ships p.s there are lots of ship recks in michagan U.S.A
Every sinking sank like the océanos
Cool! I made a LEGO movie about Titanic!
Lego needs to make this a set NOW
This is amazing you make the best lego ships ever!!!!
1:35 is the most accurate of all of them
True
Nah, 0:35 is
If only it broke in half
Willrc57 correct, the 1.35 is closer to titanic minus the hull shatter apart, if they could get it to fail midship at the hull while flexing that would be cool to see.
You mean the bricks would start bending?
0:41
Thats the most accurate one!
Aimen D no ships sink bow first
Techus Maximus every ship in history has sank bow first
Doodily ok fine some havent but the majority have
This is so satisfying
Is it annoying when the lego ships come apart?
Adam Ruth it can be if a lot falls off, but one funnel? That can easily be stuck back on...
Adam Ruth I agree
@@TheEmeraldMenOfficial yeah but it's a funnel, you have to push down hard in just the right place, and pray the deck won't collapse.
I love this
Wooooooooooooow
when the britannic's stern was in the air the bow hits the bottom thats why it has great damage at the bow
did you find all the legos or keep them under water as a shipwerck
Is this even a serious question

If this was a LEGO set omg I would buy at least ten just to build them for decoration
They would probably be £1937 or 1937$ depending if you are American or British
Nice One this is good one sinking
Just in case if y'all didn't know 2 lifeboats were sucked into the ships port side propeller when the ship was trying to beach to Kea.
I knew after I watched a video from the channel “Titanic: Honour & Glory
Interested in building something like this? Here is a model of this model built in LEGO Digital Designer. You would need this free software to view it. This is the closest thing I have to offer as far as BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS. The model can serve as a reference to copy should you choose to do so. Be warned to build this would require many hundreds of dollars worth of LEGO!

YOUR DIGITAL DESIGNER HAKED MY ENTIRE PROFILE!!! 😓😲😲😢😭😭😭😠😠😠😠😡😠
Well since the Britannic did capsize in real life, since your model is top heavy, use that to your advantage! All of my ships are too top heavy, so just add a couple coins in the bow so it’ll sink bow-first, and let the ship capsize. Also, let the funnels loose to they’ll fall of
It didn't even capsize why do you even believe in stupid inaccurate movies
@@windusbindo it capized but not like the movie. the movie is very inacurate

So I downloaded the LDD file, But it seems to fail to create a build guide, and without that you cannot view it on lego.com to buy it. Which is a shame, I'd be interested to build my own. I have a pretty beefy PC, so I'm not entirely sure why it's failing. any ideas?
I don't think lego does the whole buy the LDD models things anymore, regardless, you are far from the first to say the build guide will not work, and I dont know why. Anyways the build guide doesnt exactly have you build the model in a logical way, so I'd say it would be best just to copy by looking or delete bricks to see how its made
Okay. I will attempt that. Thanks for the swift reply!
Sinking Lego Ships I let it run and it actually made one! It took about 45 minutes on a 6 core machine, but regardless, worth it! Going to see if I actually CAN buy it, I'll let you know
lol when I did it took all night on my now dated Macbook
Yep, Mac users unite! Only use mine for school due to it's lack of power. Besides that, i7 5820k + GTX 980 is not bad.
Cool!
Where did you find this did you find this on Amazon or did you build it all by yourself
it is cool how somebody could make something like this🐀🐀🐀
Damn she sunk fast
To make the Britannic 5 foot model did you buy the pieces separated or in a set
awsome
I really want to have some of your ships but I don't have enough to build not even 1 ship...
1:28 Wait so when ships sink normally, they will also hit the wall?
No there was no walls to hit while it was sinking unless you were joking
Try to make the Britanic and Titanic fighting and then sinking together
you earned a sub!
0:25 was good
Hey I love your vids you should add a clip of the ship hitting the reason it sunk like a torpedo or iceburge
What a brittannic
In the movie Britannic someone threw a shovel into a fire and caused the hole to get bigger.
it wasnt a shovel
it was a underwater mine
Can you actually balance a lego ship ?
You should put water proof cams in like the rooms and sink it and see what happens
Besides the fact that it would be pitch black, it wouldn't be too interesting to see
oh true
The real thing actually hit the sea floor before sinking completely so that mistake was right
It was real, the britannic hit the seabed while sinking, i mean the stern is still in the sky and the bow is in the seabed
jj Did it? Ohh yesssss... Thank you for letting me know. Cuz I LOVE HISTORY

It sinks like lusitania
The ship sank in 400 feet deep water and was 800 feet long so I wonder if it really did hit the ocean floor as it sank
It hit the floor just before it sank completely.
It did, and that actually caused it to capsize.

The Second One Is True Because The Sea The Britannic Sank In Was Shallow, So The Bow Of Britannic Crashed Into The "Seafloor" Before The Britannic Vanished
Did you ever build the full interior? I did with my Lego ships
Wow the funnel even broke off.
Britannic final plunge
the first sinking was britannic to lusitania
Try leaving a little hole on the port side.
It might sink like the real ship
Its realistic becouse the bow hit the sea bed before the back went down
40 minutes... you made me curious, I ll check for a docu, it s seems so unreal...
the compartments never worked did they?
and only 4 years apart... that s weird.
The portholes being left open doomed the ship
yeah, I just found out by watching a documentary. also, you you be informed that the accurate time of sinking is 55 min for brit and 2hrs for titanic, just to help you.
As soon as you said 40 min in your comment i started thinking that it was not correct
oh, and titanic is 2h40 precicely.
