I'm not sure if anything will ever top how epic this was. Max was winning at least 4 rounds and he still wanted to bang it out in the last seconds, only to knock Justin out 1 second before the fight ended. It couldn't have gotten any more bad ass and perfect than this moment.

Yea, the judges call fights wrong all the time. Perhaps they should attach a stipulation to the BMF belt... if the fight were to end with a decision, or if it were ever ruled a draw, they go into a "Last Stand" where they get a 6th round.
The Last Stand is the decisive round that judges use to score the bout in the event both fighters are still standing.

Surprising yes, but it cannot compare at all to the sheer tension, insanity, and raw energy of a Holloway (who's winning by the way), saying fuck it and inviting Gaethje to the center to bet it all on an absolute slugfest and scoring the KO. This is ACTUALLY the type of shit you'd see in a movie.
I would say max’s KO was the best I’ve seen in the ufc. Just off who they were and how max ended that shit. I know people don’t like Izzy but him finally beating Alex was legendary too who doesn’t like a comeback story.

However, Max was winning the fight and decided to risk it all against a power puncher like Justin, that makes it way more crazy, on top of that the flagship event, the BMF title. Moreover, if Max Zigged, instead of Zagged, he could've the one that hit's the floor. So, this was way bigger KO.
Of every fighter at UFC 300, Mark Coleman is the real BMF! Your selfless heroics in that house fire will forever be legendary.

@@dano1307The 2nd one was gaethjes fault though. No forward motion was made with the hand. Max put his hand up and Gaethje ran into it. That's not a poke. A poke has the implication of advancing your hand forward. I agree it was the worse of the 2 in terms of its damage/effect.
It's similar to the Oliviera "kick to the head" from the ground. In slow mo it clearly strikes his shoulder/chest drives through and connects to the face. A legal strike.
There's no rule about blocking someone's forward pressure with an open hand.

I’m gonna keep it 100, I got teary eyed at Max’s performance. He looked the best he’s ever looked. He looked arguably better than anyone who had ever touched those divisions. Unstoppable, in shape, fast, powerful, he is the baddest motherfucker to hold that title to date. Not only that, look at all that Max has already accomplished!!! He’s not supposed to be doing that shit right now. Especially after the Volk fights. Not that he was too damaged after. Just the losses and the psychology behind that. He is truly undeniable.
