I remember that! Lunatix. The maker held a contest to make the best add-on modules for it using his scripting language called LunScript. Must’ve been 1997. I made a few, and one of mine won second place. It was called Chou’s Eggroll Emporium. It was a place where you could eat eggrolls, play “three eggroll Monty” or sumo wrestle an opponent of varying levels. Kinda had random Asian-themed stuff thrown together, even if it didn’t make sense, with silly humor. It was named after a friend with the last name Chou. It was probably a bit culturally insensitive in retrospect, but I justified it because my Asian friend thought it was funny, plus South Park and its brand of humor was a fairly new thing. Also, let's face it, I was just young and dumb. :) I was slightly annoyed that the #1 prize went to a module about going to a brothel. IIRC, all you did was you picked a door, it displayed an ANSI drawing of a lady of the night, and you got stuff. That’s it. But I’m over it, hah. Another I made was called Break the Bank in which you had to guess the bank vault’s three-digit combination to win a lot of money. There were clues you could accumulate with repeated visits to narrow it down. (Such as - “the second digit is always odd” or something like that.)
Oh man, I've never played that one. So many door games I never played, or just dipped my toes into but never fully got into. I think Realm of Serion has Planets:TEOS too, btw.

@@MarkWandRobBobPresent Heh don't worry about it too much. I think Dimmi-B was what I had in mind when I created the character. I made series of videos solving the final castle of Arrowbridge 2 at Serion earlier. Just something I recorded and commented while playing without editing the material at all. It turned out to be some 10 episodes and 1 hour a piece. Never expected it to go on that long. :)
I’ve also uploaded parts 2-4 of this LORD tournament if you’re interested. More to come too. I tried Usurper once or twice but never quite got the hang of it. 😅 I think Realm of Serion might be running it as we speak!

Yeah it's a fun one! I've been taking an indefinite break from it for about the past year (since the tournament in the video, really) but I might get back into it again sometime. You can check out the game yourself on The Realm of Serion BBS. www.serionbbs.com - you might have to get used to a terminal style interface is all, and get used to other players killing you a lot at first until you get the hang of the game. :)
Aha! I looked up Seth Able to see if this is why Dink Smallwood features a boss monster named "Seth," and the answer was, Seth A Robinson created Dink Smallwood too! I have never played this. Played Hack and Zork back in the day, Archon, Bushido, Bard's Tale. This one passed me by. I'm almost completely ready to turn my back on the modern internet, but it still has its uses. Going back old school. The more tightly the corporations an authorities try to control information, the more that good old underground, pirate, DIY, anarchist spirit revives me and feeds my loathing for Silicon Valley Capitalism! Finding new ways to take the internet back. Wondered if the BBS was still alive. Gotta learn more about telnet! Wanna play!
