For those wondering, the 8" is the correct level sensor and the threaded hole he recommends to mount it to is almost too big. You need to very careful to center the sensor it in the spinwelded bung so you have enough flange to get the screws in w/o interfering with the sensor hole. ALSO THIS TANK DOES NOT WORK WITH 170EXT WITHOUT MODIFYING THE SPARE TIRE CAGE HINGE MOUNTS OR MAKING YOUR OWN HINGES, AND EVEN THEN DOESN'T FIT LEVEL OR 100% PROPERLY!!!! Unfortunately realized that after drilling out for the level sensor........ but I will persevere and get it right. Hope that helps someone.

Hey Cayman! How are you gravity filling this tank into the bottom of the tank? Wouldn’t the water pressure start to push the water back up the hose before the tank ever got completely full? Wouldn’t you have to fill through the top of the tank, not the bottom?
I may be in the minority...but I have installed a Backwoods Adv Mods Nomad Rear Bumper, which is lower than the pinch weld you show for mounting the hose. I'd need that mounting bracket 3" taller to bring the hose fitting down so the hose doesn't kink when filling. I suppose I'll just bolt on another plate as an extension unless you have another idea.
I'm getting conflicting information on ecommerce sites and this video on which vehicles this will fit. I have a 2022 Sprinter 170 Dually with a receiver hitch. In this video I hear it will fit. Can I please get confirmation? Thank you!
Hey S&B team. I have your 45gal sprinter tank and love it. My van is mostly for track day support and I was thinking about putting this tank on my sprinter to put gasoline in it for my track car. Obviously I need to think of a way to safely pump fuel in/out but would the tank itself should be safe for fuel???

This would be killer (thought you'd need larger fill ports/empty ports for fuel and you'd want them NOT on the exhaust side ideally)

It’ll be a few days before I get it fully installed and plumbed in. I have L track mounted right above where the tanks sits, and the bolts coming through the floor were contacting the tank when it was all the way up. I just used a dremel to cut them flush with the lock nuts, and that gave me enough room. Other than that, it seems like it will be straightforward. There are threaded holes for fill and drain (or to the pump) on both right and left sides, so it should be easy to plumb the lines to it.

they are 1.5" NPT which is actually larger than 1.5"
