I've been training the way Smaev does for over 10 years, but never been on gear as he has admitted... and I respect that greatly. I cannot stand when people on gear pretend their results are natural or near natural. As far as strength goes... it is the way, imo. Not necessarily optimal for power or endurance, though not bad. Just natty, I have been able to achieve 'elite' fitness levels very quickly on various conventional lifts due to the cross over... such as 405 bench, +100kg pull up, 315lbs x 20 for squat... and I weigh 215lbs. I also find it to be easier mentally, and safer physically. The only thing is... it can feel very monotonous to some people, if they don't have the mindset. But this way of training has the ability to unlock much untapped potential in whoever tries it... mentally and genetically. But it demands commitment.
@@mariomariu4394 TBH, I don't have anything like a coherent plan. It's more of an eclectic method. My squatting style is like Tom Platz's, high reps. But I would say Smaev's way, here, is just a variety of progressive overloading in the same muscle groups. One day maybe it's rep range, one day pushing your range of motion, another day the weight you use. One thing I do that I don't see others do, and I think Smaev does it too, so do arm wrestlers... really phenomenal and specialized strength disciplines... is I will not shy away from working out the same muscle group consecutively throughout the week. If I want to, I do it. I just make sure to go lighter or challenge it in a different way. One or two heavy days a week in any given muscle group, no more for me. But 5-6 days a week, I'm lifting. I don't really agonize over my splits or overtraining. As far as lifts go... I find ways to make calisthenics harder with weight and form. If you can do 80 decline diamond pushups, with your hands in front of your face and with a weighted vest... maybe that's good! Definitely good for your bench. But maybe not so good if you're trying to focus on building another aspect of strength. You have a finite amount of energy (effort and food), and a finite ability to make use of it... one must choose wisely. Obviously, I am doing conventional weight lifting, too, (when I want to) as Smaev does.
@@mariomariu4394 I eat whole foods, mostly. I avoid processed foods, especially sugar, with the exception of bread (I know). I love butter and vegemite on toast, and creamer in my coffee in the morning. Eat as much or as little as I want. The difficulty I run into governing my diet by appetite is getting enough protein. I just don't want to eat that much. I would compare my level of fitness to that of Kim Shashok, but I see immediate and noticeable results when I start forcing myself to eat lots of protein. And I do liver maintenance; I find eating lemons, and taking TUDCA, really makes my metabolism on point. I started doing that after a dirty bulk a few years ago, needed to clean up after a bunch of garbage food... just kept on. One must find what works for their body, I don't do well on keto, at all,for instance... but it's a good diet. I've found Dr. Berg (actually an advocate of keto) very helpful in determining what works for me in terms of diet.
Many other channels claim Andrey’s bodyweight is 100-105 kg. I always thought those figures were quite low for Andrey’s physique. Now I know I was right. 120 kg definitely suit him better. What a monster he is to pull that much mass so high over the bar! Other superheavies like him would struggle to do a traditional chest to bar pull up and he’s effortlesly hitting the bar with his waist! Ridiculous specific strength!
Impressive! But there is one wrong statement in the video. If -30C feels like -40C it depends on the wind and not on humidity. Because really cold air cannot carry humidity.
@@TRUEPOWERofficial brother if he trains in that harsh winter that's good....but he could have taken you to the iron bar (pull up bar) where he usually trains ...why he didn't do so ...
Yes the bars start to stick at around -15 but they also heat up really fast. 2-3 sets of pull ups and the bars are warm and comfortable to hold, and take a long time to cool back down.
there is nothing that motivates more than smaev videos

Every new Smaev training video is a blessing. What an amazing athlete 🙌

Really strong for a natural athlete
Can you elaborate on your training? Do you have a plan?
For example pull or push work outs?

You're right. Wind is an important factor. During training, gusts of strong wind are heard.

Not really a big deal, mate. -20 ~ -30 with wind is still no joke.
