I'm learning ASL & love watching your stories for practice. I wish the full story was in the description so I could learn signs I don't know. And it would help me not get lost!
There was a little girl who was walking around and came up to a store and looked into the window. When she looked into the window, she saw a doll. The doll was a man, but one weird thing was that the doll’s eyes looked so incredibly real. The girl decided to walk into the store to check it out. When she walked in the owner, an older woman, greeted her. The girl wanted to get the doll, but it was too expensive. So, the owner offered her $100 to work for the day so she can buy the doll. The girl agreed and her job was to do makeup on the doll. The girl finished quickly, and when she told the owner, the owner said that she did not work long enough so she had one more task for the little girl to do. The girl agreed so they both went down a dark hallway in the back of the store until they entered a small room. In the room was a gorgeous white dress and the little girl fell in love with it. The owner turns to the girl and tells her she can have it, but then the owner starts laughing hysterically. All of a sudden, it started thundering and the room starts to spin. The owner was a witch. The girl then remembered the male doll and how real his eyes looked, and then the with tells the girl that she is going to become a doll too.
My teacher made us voice interpret this story -cold. Myself and the other students all took segments of this story. We are all very young terps and we managed to get the main idea out of our mouths. Such a fun story!
This is such a good story. I was on edge of my seat all the time! I love it and I’m hoh/ASL I always “feel” you’re stories and songs so much. Thank you for always being so eloquent ASL. I felt like I was watching a short Disney story with a scary witch and a poor gullible smelly girl... lol thank you
I really enjoyed this, I've been learning sign language from home for just over 2½ years and I'm still kind of struggling with receptivity so this was really enjoyable and good for practice, though reading the story in the comments really made it more impactful 🙏🏼 thanks so much for posting!
