Rosa Lee Timm: Intent v. Impact

Black History Month is here! We are so thankful for the contributions Black and Black deaf people have made in our lives. As we ready ourselves to honor that history-this month and throughout the year-be reminded that sometimes what we mean to say (our intentions) and how it might be received by others (our impact) may not always align.
Be mindful of what you share and how you share it with students, parents, colleagues, and communities of color. As Rosa Lee Timm said, we should "continue to reflect, self-assess, adjust, and improve."
