Hope you feel better soon lovey. Wish your mum a happy cake day from all of us please. During really hot spells that (due to serious health issues), I book a room at the Premier Inn, because they have an air conditioner...the posher stately home and really old historic places I've stayed at have fans that just don't do it...blowing hot air around and back at you. Turning air con on and still having the ability of climbing g under the sheets to get warm is an ides...although not had any lurches for 10 years now 😉

Aw I’m so glad David that makes me really happy to hear that! Yeah it was a bit sad that I was unwell for it but it did help having my own little place for a while 😊❤️

Blimey , i have that cold /flu thing for 9 days and its still going strong , i taken tabs / lemsip / cough meds ect . enjoyed the vid as all ways . stay safe

Hello Ellie. It's been a week, feeling like crap for some of us. Having to work through it, but slowly feeling better. I am off to Scotland in a week, break from work. Might get as far as John O groats, definitely the Highlands. Great minds think a like 👍

You Poms say funny things. Still poorly! I knew a guy from England in a wheelchair who supported West Ham. I guess you’d call that a double handicap. Anyway he rang up his work once and said he was feeling queer because that’s the term they used to use back in England way back whenever. Apparently everyone at his work were in hysterics because he was feeling queer. I still wouldn’t be caught dead going into a little lake like that. Just a thought of botulism is enough to scare me away.
Yep, you definitely have man flu. Now you understand how men really get sick and it’s not just a little cold. Welcome to our world. I keep seeing your wonderful cooking efforts, but you don’t have to convince me that if you do come out and do a bit of a tour around here with me, I do the cooking. And what’s with the diet Coke? That stuff is ghastly. Although I knew a woman once who would drink Diet Coke and eat KFC because she thought it would balance it out. You need to rest and build up your strength for your trip to Scotland. Remember, I’m anxious to see pictures of unicorns.
Are you taking food with you on your trip? Are you taking an esky with ice or are you just going to buy food on the way? When I was escorting oversize loads around Australia, I didn’t have the luxury of a fridge, but I had an esky full of food , and every second day. Now I have two fridges, although one I just use as a freezer. I’m thinking I’ll need a third fridge. Just a small console size one so I can put drinks in while I’m driving.
The weather is still fine here, although my Weather app says on Thursday, it’s going to rain as well as 28° so there will be a few sweaty arse cracks that day. I’ll believe it when I see it anyway.
I really should be asleep as it’s 4:17 am, so go and rest up before your big trip, do all your family stuff and make sure you have GPS sorted.

Hope you manage to get some sleep soon! You sound like me last night still up at 4am 🤣 I haven’t got the gps yet cos I managed to sort maps out on my phone. Apparently you can use offline mode with maps and it’s so handy! Especially cos there’s barely any room on stitch’s dashboard for anything more than a camera or I can’t see properly- even dash cams were a pain 😂 I might get a little cool box or something similar for the car for the camping bits but I’ll probably stay somewhere for half the trip too. Camping in the mountains has to be done though 😄 hope you’re doing really well over there! And it really does sound beautiful every time you talk about it I’m still jealous I haven’t seen Australia yet 😂 it’s weird we’ve started getting really hot days over here now in sept again haha ❤️
