Hi Claire, been watching your vids for a while now. Father of 2 girls (11 and 8). We’ve gone camping and we go cooking in the woods often. If I manage to raise them to be even half as strong willed, independent and resourceful as you I think I’ll have done a good job. Thank you for your inspiration. Jason, Ireland.
Thank you for not focusing on gear or brands. You're not trying to sell us something. Just your love of the outdoors. I havent been out much this summer as I had a stroke. Your videos are a real tonic. Thank you xx
So very sorry to hear that. I hope you're able to recover 💚 thank you for the kind words
So very sorry to hear that. I hope you're able to recover 💚 thank you for the kind words
I don’t think in any circumstances anybody could call you a wuss. Good to see you enjoying yourself in the wild ❤
Haha thanks! :)

@@WildBeare Which camera do you film your star time lapse with? Thanks.
"For if the beginning of things is not distinct from their end,
then the beginning is the end, and the end is the beginning."

Does anyone else have an area that they inexplicably can’t seem to get to grips with? 🤔
This summer has been pretty blah hasn’t it! Roll on Autumn, my fav, I can't wait! 😍🍂🍁 Hope you’re good Wild Ones 🧡 Xx
Yes. Birmingham town centre. 😂😂
Not yet .
Blah? That's being polite! I think it has been poo (and I am being polite too! 😂)
My kitchen, it's a bit of a mess.
Blah is one word for it, haha. It has felt like Autumn for ages now where we are, with all the rain and grey cloudy days. Apparently the Autumn Equinox was on Sunday, so officially the end of Summer in the UK now. 🍂🍁🌲
I hope someone has told you you are awesome recently because you are. Thank you for bringing us along.
I remember reading a comment, can't remember which video, where the commenter describer her as "wonderfully bonkers", may not have been bonkers but something along those lines. totally agree awesome lady love watching her videos to wind down at the end of the day.
Ahh bless you thanks so much haha! As are you 🤗
Love the little hand drawn kind of maps that pop up, they are a nice touch
Thank you I draw those on my PC 🙂 hopefully gives an idea of the lil journey taken
@@WildBeare Avoid the Yeti!!
@@WildBeare I love these too. Would love to know how you do it.
@@goulash75 thanks I draw them with a tablet / pen thing that plugs into my computer :)
After watching your videos for a couple of mths I decided at the ripe old age of 66 to gove it a go.This morning I made the climb up Red Screes in the lakes, my first one, I'm now aching from head to toe and never watching your videos again 😅😅😅, seriously thank you ,you gave me the spur to do it ,wild camping next 😂😂
Go for it , never say never.
Found this channel recently and can't believe how enjoyable it is to watch a stranger camping
Ahh thanks, that's so nice :D welcome to my lil channel 👋
I’m the same!! I began watching Claire back in March when I moved to Bali and this is my go to every time. I literally moved away to escape England but there’s something so wonderful about watching someone else find joy and beauty in a place I struggle to exist in.
A wonderful way to unwind at the end of the day.
Not a stranger for long, Claire becomes a good friend.
@@tomconcitis9322Frank might think otherwise after Claire let him down too many times.😜
Claire your videos never cease to put a smile on my face. The heather was absolutely stunning. I'm so glad you shared this video...
Aw thanks I'm glad :) yehh it's so pretty and pink at the end of summer 💖
You're living my best life as an 11 year old. I used to walk through the stream/river for miles around our home, through bushes and rocks and then camp out on my own (my parents thought I was staying at my friends). I'd make a fire, build my own shelter and have not much more than a pretty rubbish sleeping bag with me and a knife I was left from a great uncle, but I still think this was the most relaxed and happiest I've ever been.
NB: The pic @ 14 mins of the tent at night with the mountains in the background is beautiful.
What I love most about your channel besides the joy and unbelievable filmmaking is that those of us living in other ecosystems (western USA in my example) get to see a wild world that is so different from our own wild worlds. You take us to beautiful places. Thanks so much for all you do!
Thank you so much for sharing it with me 💚I'm not able to travel too far at the mo (lone parent) but one day I hope to visit your side of the world, the Sierras look so breathtaking :)
Claire, you have a beautiful soul and your adventures always cheer me up and give me renewed hope for the world. Your endless love for the whole world - megamoths, yetis and curious sheep included - is inspiring, and the way you wouldn't even kill a leech but put it on a leaf and back into the water was lovely. Don't ever change.
Heyy thank you so much, you're too kind 🙂 its a happy place for me out there. I don't believe Mr Leech meant me any harm.. although I'm surprised one of them hasn't got me yet actually haha. Thank you for watching my lil video 🌿🐻
I'd prefer to take a hike, any day, with a wuss that finds the waterfalls, rather than a cold and chilled companion who makes it to the top of Cnicht. Wilde one, you'll have your day with Cnicht someday! Hiking with you would be entertaining, educational and delicious (breakfasts especially)!
Your enthusiasm for all things nature regardless how chaotic is so infectious. I love watching your adventures
Your adventures are just what I need to turn off the electronic world. For a one woman show you produce stories that remind me of the National Geographic quality and it's just you! Incredible, brave, clever and entertaining. THANK YOU 💚
Ahh thanks so much, that's so nice 🙂 have a great weekend!
I feel comfortable watching this wild green scenery 💚💚 haaahhh love greenary
Absolutely stellar video as always Claire! I'm so glad that you got to get out on this adventure and spend some time in nature to recharge the 'ol batteries (as it were). Thanks for bringing us along 😊
Have a wonderful week my dear friend! :)
And of course.... Stay wild 🐻 -John
Heyy John! Aw thank you :) hope you've had a great weekend friend, and a wonderful weekend to come 🧡🍁🍂 I'm so excited that autumn is here now :D
You rock the world for women all over the world.. keep em coming!
Thanks for sharing!
It's your calm voice, clear pronunciation, sense of humour, beautiful accent, great editing, beauty in a beautiful part of the world that if not for you I'd never get to see it. I'd love to see you here in OZ at some time. Just the vastness will make you stop in your tracks, and remind you of how small we humans are. Keep up the grest work Claire snd thankyou 🥰 I'm spoilt as I live 10 minutes away from the world's largest Redgum forest @ 133,000 acres
Aw thank you so much for the kind words :) Ooo OZ looks so beautiful.. I'm not sure I would handle the critters very well and all the things wanting to kill me haha! Very fortunate here in the UK with that kinda thing, mostly it's just the weather to battle with but that's manageable with the right gear. Wow that is really wonderful! I just looked them up, lovely trees 💚💚 thanks for watching my lil video, have a great weekend ~ Claire
I really appreciate how you listen to your intuition, mood and general feel when deciding your routes. I don't understand people that force themselves and push to the most painful and excruciating limits to reach some arbitrary end point. The "look what I can do" people. I feel like one way is rooted in interconnectedness and the other ego.
I always have these ideas in my head of how it's gonna go.. often involving reaching summits and having crazy views and sunsets but so often it doesn't happen. I can see the appeal and it's a great feeling to reach that peak, but equally I like to potter about at my own pace (and avoid the people haha)
You're so right about interconnectedness and intuition. Very little distance or elevation has to be gained to get back to nature. Some of my favourite trips are the ones that didn't go as planned where I ended up mooching in valleys 💚 thanks for sharing this with me :)
@@WildBeare ❤️❤️❤️
Given what you went through following that stream up into the hills, how you can use 'wuss' to describe yourself is beyond me. Loved that footage of the night sky from your lake side camp!. Stunning! Great video, thanks for sharing your adventures with us!👍
Ahh thanks.. I swear my fear of heights is getting worse. I got a lot better a couple of years ago, not sure what happened 😄
Always feel very blessed to see the stars up there ✨️ thanks for sharing it with me :)
@@WildBeare 🤔Perhaps that camping trip where you hurt your ankle so badly and how difficult it was for you to get back to your car, is the reason. You say fear, I would suggest you are exercising more caution. Nothing wrong with that in my book!👍
15kg pack weight with your bodymass is substantial, you are one tough cookie! Especially lugging the pack through that brush! RESPECT! I'd be knackered! As usual wonderful photography.
Thanks! It doesn't need to be that heavy to be fair, a few kilos is filming gear, some of which such as the dome port I only get a few seconds of footage out of but I'm a real sucker for the filming stuff.. I do wonder sometimes how long I'll be able to carry so much as I get older, but time will tell. Have a great weekend :) 🐻
Thank you for giving me hope for people.
Also thanks for the smiles.

Excellent as ever - adventure , rain and grimness . One of the remaining few who are genuine and worth watching 👏👏👏
Aw thank you! Means a lot :) 🌿
YAY! Something to watch before bed! I ❤️ your videos and they are the perfect way for me to unwind and relax before I nod off!
You're a Superstar Claire.
Thank you for simply doing what you do.
Aw thank you so much, hope you have a lovely night! ✨️😴
Lady, you are absolutely unstoppable. You remind me of the Man I was 25 years ago.
The 50 year old guy I am today wouldn't have made it up that river but watching you do it was inspiring. Thank you Wildbeare you are a force of nature.
Hang on hang on. SHE reminds you of the MAN you used to be? Is there something you want to get off your chest .I mean breast?😜😁😁
Ahh, thanks! I'll turn 40 in the spring and intend to make the most outta this body while I can :) 🤞Thanks so much for sharing this with me
@@WildBeare 40? I better not call you girl anymore, maybe Granny😜 im jealous and joking. You look beaut young lady and will stay beaut when your my age.
40? How I wish to go back to that age 🤣🤣 PS nothing in Australia will hurt you, apart from. Our snakes, spiders, scorpions, birds, jelly fish, sharks, octopuses, crocodiles, ticks, sun , floods, fires, trees, dingos, kangaroos, 😜😁
@@BobLouden-r9q😅 hello 👋 from Poland 🇵🇱 and my countryside channe!
Thanks, Claire, for the fantastic video. Beautiful young lady showing some beautiful scenery. That was an amazing hike.
You will beat your nemesis and sit on the summit. If we got all that we wanted, there would be no need to dream.
Continue with your journeys and keep taking us along.
Gid bless you, young lady, and stay safe on your travels.
I love how you always get in the water. It looks so refreshing and the pools are beautiful.
Ah Cnicht, how cool. I had my 11th birthday up there, flew paper airplanes of the top, was well good. Weird childhood memory ey. Love your videos mate, and love the fact you seem to spend so much time on the Rhinogs, they really are an underappreciated part of North Wales.
Love the Timelapse night sky… just wonderfull ❤❤. Thanks .
Nigella of the outdoor market!
Watching again ❤the moment, ruffed yourself up a bit“ good for the soul “ cnicht just wont have it 😂 the stars will aline one day, all the way to the top. Cheerie bye.
Definitely a Buzzard. That ‘scree’ call is a giveaway. I have a nesting pair in the pine trees at my house.
I love that sound :) I'm not very good at identifying them though.. tawny owl sound is about my limit haha hopefully I'll pick up some more
Ive had a shite cpl weeks drinking wayy too much an feeling like crap. This video has given me the inspiration to set out early tomorrow on a long hyke an try get myself back on track. Thank you.
Another splendid video. You always have a super attitude, even when things don''t go as planned. Thank you :)
Hi Claire, well I never knew there were leaches in the UK 😲 I always associated them with tropical rivers! 66 yrs old and still learning new things!! 😂Love the videos.
What wonderful places to see and explore. Thank you Claire for bringing us along.
Claire, that was awesome, thank you.
Every time you are in or mention water you’re face really lights up, water baby I reckon😂😂 well done 👏 👏, most of us are much bigger woss’s 😂😂
That little mountain has nothing on you. You are extra special. Thanks for taking us with you.
Well wild one, you was enjoying the challenge of travelling up that little river. Good to see.
I had not been camping in over 20 years, but watching your videos made me realise how much I missed it, So this year for my 58th birthday I got a tent and equipment and went on a wild adventure 😁 My sister (56) and I are going wild camping again for the weekend and we are so excited we're like a pair of kids 😂I am so happy I found your channel, Thank you for giving me the inspiration I needed to get back out there 💗
Claire, you are really going wild there - totally off track, but pushing through the obstacles! I will remind myself of this when I am hesitating in a situation...
The tattoo on your hand reminds me soo much of the ‘tattoos’ I would draw all over my arms in sharpie in high school, in the BEST way. Always makes me smile 🤭
I absolutely love your videos. Your beauty, the beauty of the country you hike in, your soft spoken humorous but ans adventurous manner; literally perfect. 😊 Thank you.
Thank you for just being there. Aware of your surroundings. Enjoying the "slow" pace, not having to furfill anything but joy and satisfaction of being in time and space :). Love it!
I saved this episode for my last watch of the night and I was not disappointed between your absolute gorgeous videos and the sound of the rain, rivers, waterfalls and of course your beautiful voice it’s like a lullaby. Thank you for sharing your passion with all of us you are a true treasure in this crazy mixed up world. ☮️ out until you make my day again.
Hi Claire, I understand how hard and very difficult holding the camera while walking with one hand trekking pole. You gave us a beautiful scenery. I just want to say, thank you for showing us this video and many others. We love your adventures and keep doing a great work. I am praying you are love what you do and be safe out there. We all here and supporting your channel as always.
CB, you definitely seem to always take the path no one else would ever even think about taking.
And when you made it to the first lake I could feel what an incredible accomplishment it was, I know the next morning you said you weren’t feeling well, but you had that beautiful morning glow that you so often have. Really enjoyed getting to tag along.
Aw thank you so much, so appreciate you coming with me :D have a great weekend 💚

Thank you!
You as well CB 😉
YES.. Sheltering from the rain is very cozy.
Some of the nicest people are uncouth.
Thank you for the video, I do enjoy them. 🙂
Hi Claire. I posted a comment on Instagram. I hope it's ok to expand on it here. Whenever you do the voice over in your videos, I immediately picture you in a recording booth with headphones on, standing in front of a music stand with pages of a children's audio book you are recording. Your soothing voice telling tales of the 🌿🐻 bringing them on many wonderful adventures with you! I say this with tremendous respect. I understand being in a recording booth may not be your cup of chocolate coffee. But I really believe you would be amazing at it!😁😎✌🏻✌🏻
I always think that as well
Spot on Disney tonsils i agree
Absolutely love your channel. Your guts, determination, and intrepid nature are truky such an inspiration. Never stop 👏👌💪🤗.
The Royal Marines train the Snowdon area before deploying to Norway. So you may have heard a night attack going on.
👍😎😂..well done ! !😊
(Great video production as well 💯)..kinda wish you showed more of the cave..
Hint: Yeti are quite afraid of caves...there might be a Beare inside.😮
Absolutely wonderful to see someone enjoying themselves so much and sharing their adventures with such good humour in a truly beautiful setting 😊
If I was a BBC executive, I'd snap you up. You and David Attenborough could make an amazing documentary. With you filming and producing of course. Love this channel, love you, and love all your magical videos. This one was another classic though. Big respect to you Clare.
Such a tough side to attack Cnicht from Clare, you’re so brave and tough, I always come up from the other side (Moelwyns) or from Croesor side. Beautiful area for walking whichever direction, well done you 😁⛺️👍🏽🥾🥾 not sure about the bangs, I know quarries blast rock in a few areas, but that was a bit late wasn’t it 🤷🏽♂️ yeti 🤣🤣
Beautiful summer , three nights alone ......... enjoying life , excellent .
Wow your adventures seem to get better and better Claire great videos 👍
Oh just fab! Well done Miss Claire, and thank you for taking us with! 👍👏👏👏
Your videos are f****** amazing, love the violet wild flowers, stay safe girl 👍🏻💜
It's inspiring to see you overcome difficulties and the confidence you have to head out without a plan. Oh, and I love the little voices you give to the wildlife! Thank you x
Spent a lot of my adult life hiking and being outdoors and I tell you, it would drive me crazy to pinch that tent and not put a full floor down. I know you laid a ground sheet for your bag, but a full ground sheet for me is better mentally after a long day of hiking. Still, kudos for hauling all that gear. You are amazing
I like very, very much how you thank the variuos things around you!
Aw yeh, well I'm very grateful to them all for allowing me the experience and safe passage :)
Fab video combination of all you seen , felt , enjoyed absolutely fab well done 😊❤❤
Love your vids Claire. They are like mini resets for the soul. Cheers again!
So elemental! Love you Claire bear xx
Wow Claire that was a fab trip! That did look very challenging indeed. Well done on achieving a very entertaining trip. Glad you didn’t get any leaches on you. I am itching now lol. Take care Helen & Andy 🌲🌳🌲🌳xxx
It’s a calming effect hiking off track, you ‘earn’ your peace. Love and respect from Australia
love that haha, you definitely do! Best wishes from UK :) 👋
This was a work of art, thoroughly enjoyed. The foliage looks amazing but also thick to hike through.
Outstanding effort yet again, what an uplifting film, what joy. Thankyou. Harry
Hiking through the stream just seems so refreshing, even if it's hard work - I would never have thought to do that!
It's so nice in warm weather 😍 gotta have separate clothes that aren't treated with any bug stuff of course, ideally washed in non-toxic washing stuff too. The hiking sandals were great, loved not soaking my boots :D it's all slippery rock and pebbles of course though so got to take it nice & slow 💚
@@WildBeare Those water shoes did look really ace. I'm shopping now 😂
I was getting worried when you ventured down the stream and running into thorn bushes etc. "There goes Claire again, things were getting too easy." But when that waterfall opened up it was a yes moment. Great adventure, thanks for taking us along. Hugs from Florida USA 🌴
Hey, Claire - thank you for including the part where you get scared of the moth. I have a crippling fear of bugs that keeps me from experiencing nature the way I'd love to. I watch these videos to get some courage from you. Lots of hugs ♥️
I can understand that, they take some getting used to 😄 ticks are my biggest worry really although I don't like when bugs dive-bomb at my head torch haha. Thanks for watching my lil video :)
Love these videos, Claire. I've lost a lot of my vision now, so will never do those things myself. I love sharing your experiences in these videos......thank you so much.
Thank goodness you’re here. It’s not easy going cold turkey with no WildBeare videos. X
hehe, helloooo :) 👋
Love love your videos Claire, you are so brave with all those insects around you etc. I’m a big wuss when it comes to things like that. I’d be the one with my tent zipped up all the time! lol! Thanks for sharing your adventures! Stay safe! ❤️
Tuesday night has taken a turn for the better ! 😍
So many pretty plants and places! It was so funny to see you crawl on the river, that's just mad 😂 You had full adventurer mode on!
It was so silly, I was imagining the river / stream to be out in the open and easier to move up. Didn't occur to me that because I was at real low elevation I'd have to be crawling under dead stuff and holly trees 😄 knee pads would have been amazing haha! Thanks for watching :)
@@WildBeare I totally understand the logic behind it, it was a good plan on paper 😂
Wow ! You're such a free spirit , you're really living your best life. I love watching your adventures 😊
Hard going in the water, thick brush. Tuff lady back in the rain. ❤❤
Southern Ontario here. Camp often in northern Ontario Provincial parks. Most of my camping times in my 70 years. I've seen black bears large & small, close and far, many times. A few moose... they are huge! Paddle canoes for years. Bike all over. But what truly creeps me out are spiders... I can't handle spiders, at all. And just the thought of ticks and leaches... though I've never seen either.
And heights?!... forget it, can't do it, no reason to do it lol.
I admire you in your ventures in all videos. Thank you!
Hi Claire - one of your young woman fans here. Have watched every 1 of your videos and quietly appreciate all that you do.
Hey Sister! Ahh that's so nice, thank you so much for sharing these with me 💚 have a wonderful weekend, whatever you're up to :) much love
Hi Claire, I love your camping videos. I been to England but never had any the chance of camping, but it looks very trying to camp in the thick grass and it seems you end up setting your tent up on it. Also It seems that you plan your hikes around some type of water way, awesome. I’ll have to come try it someday! Keep up the great trips and having fun.😊
Claire, I honestly don’t think anyone could ever find you uncouth or unladylike, no matter how you sit when you’re in the wild..I mean… You’re not at a fancy dinner or something. You’re out in the wild! So be wild! Love your videos. Long-time fan and subscriber from day one.
I somewhat agree, but I do understand and respect her for not wanting herself in certain poses, or wardrobe malfunctions, to be seen by hundreds of thousands of people and the censoring just adds a nice layer of humour 😄
Just getting to this now, as I was camped in the woods on a rather wet, windy trip when it dropped. Another awesome vid, Claire. And FWIW, as beautiful as you are (inside and out), your modesty is refreshing. Here it’s not about wantonly flashing skin for clicks and likes, it’s about truly embracing and sharing your appreciation of the great outdoors as you enjoy its intrinsic rewards. Thanks, once again, for bringing us along.
Still watching all your amazing videos, your crazy journeys and little adventures. You are mad woman. 😁. I love it. Keep it up. 🏕️🏕️
That MOSS when you were in the woods at rhe end!! 😱❤️❤️❤️
You are definitely NOT a wuss! I think you are extremely brave. There is no way I would camp, on my own, out in the wilderness like you do. I love watching your adventures
Thank so much :) so glad you enjoy them 💚
Wild ears goes bushwhacking. Hope you had dry bags. 😆👍🎊
13:28 The sound is hail canon guns. We here in the central valley of California have that where the farmers shoot sonic waves into clouds to break up the weather.
They also shoot dry ice to make the clouds snow 🌨 and salt phosphates to make the clouds rain 🌦
I’d be surprised if anyone needed to resort to technology to make it rain in north Wales

Well Claire what a brilliant video , you are never a wuss , always entertaining , thanks for the great video .
Wow! that 23 minutes went too fast, that was high quality in all ways well done you.
Yet another outstanding video ❤
Absolutely stunning shots of the heather! So beautiful. I’ve just got back from a 3 day trek in Haute Savoie. Veeeery wet but full of wildlife and spectacular scenery.
Loved the editing on this. Very funny ❤
Fascinated by your hike up the river. Guess you would be safe from tickets; however many other obstacles to overcome. Very envious of seeing you swimming in the pools. Very odd weather we are having. Many thanks for your videos and views.
Mmm I had to keep changing in and out of clothes, as my hiking clothes are treated with the anti-tick stuff, but can't wear that in the river of course as I don't want to contaminate the water, so I had a second set for the water, but I couldn't wear those in the long grass & ferns because the blood suckers would be all over me. So it was a bit time consuming. Thanks for sharing the trip with me :)
