Hi, Terry here. Yes, that Terry. Kudos to CGB for not only putting on a great show with our respective decks, he also showed why he is THE master strategist. I couldn't find this video because it wasn't posted on CGB's channel. Then a friend pointed out a week later that he saw my deck on the MTG Arena channel. So here we are. Just a few quick points: 1. My opening hand had Jace the whole time. CGB just simply and masterfully pressured me just enough that I couldn't find the window to cast it. 2. Apologies for the slow start. I was busy scrambling to find the record button on my laptop when I saw CGB on screen. Although I didn't believe it was CGB for a week afterwards because I couldn't believe CGB was still at Platinum 4 on the 3rd week of December. My thinking then was, "That CGB I played with, that definitely was an imposter." 3. Valgavoth's Lair was there just for the Portent count. 4. At 16:53, the top of my library was Temporary Lockdown and Atraxa. I simply couldn't pass them up. 5. My regret was putting Sheoldred Edict in this deck. It was there because I was more worried about the Shardmage's Rescue matchup. 6. At 33:24, I scryed away Not on My Watch. That's tunnel vision for you there because I didn't anticipate the eventual 3/3 token from SunFall for which I had no answer. 7. The 6 point Portent of Calamity was a complete misplay. I left one mana open so I could play a land afterwards and cast the Get Lost. Problem is, I had already played Underground River beforehand. So there you go. Here's a little tip. 42 lands seems to be the way to go when putting up a Hundro-Card Deck. Till next time.
I was the mono black in game 1! I didn't even notice I was playing against you because I was on my phone at work. Much love CGB, you're my favorite MTG content creator out there
30:16 I believe you _can't_ be allowed within the rules to choose at the same time. The players have to announce their choices in APNAP order, and you get to see what they chose before you make your choice (shown on Arena with the little circling animation doohickeys on their lands while you're choosing). This is of course a concession to paper play; they wouldn't need an order if the game were originally designed only for digital.
points in favor of the cat, it costs one less to hard cast and it provides some life gain to shut out an aggro deck once you have stabilized. points in favor of overlord, tokens are 2/1s and evasive if the overlord gets dealt with plus its impend fits better into the curve for max card draw. So I would say overlord is the more aggressive choice and cat is the more conservative choice. Both have pros and cons. I think CGB picked cat because it sees less play in general, is all in all a pretty good card and he really does not want to lose to mono red. But I think if you think the mono red, and other aggro decks, match ups are fine enough without the cat then overlord makes sense.
@robinbrown6530 my cynical side thinks the motivation for the cat is that it is from newest set. But I appreciate your breakdown on upside/downside of each option. I may try a blend of each, or go with what doesn't require more wildcards.
What a battle. I've been puzzled by the oversized decks from time to time. Are there just so many good cards that playing them all is too hard to resist?
I really appreciate your efforts! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Ive been playing a deck like this for about a month now and I really like having Nissa, Ascended Animist as a finisher. With all the overlord ramp 7 mana is pretty doable and her -1 can deal with artifacts like Urabrask's Forge
Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Terry, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga!
Seems kind of unnecessary to add green for beanstalk since the innocence for mono white does pretty much the same and already has synergy with caretaker
How?? Idk Caracals power but even if it did trigger innocence did you forget he has removal curated for the beans as well as triggers from impending and casting the overlord and probably at least one other good reason
@Cam-qs5ew with mono white you can play lay down arms which exiles for only 1 mana which is better than the 5 mana removal here, even if it triggers beans. The lvl 2 of caretaker triggers innocence but not beans, same with carrot cake and fountain. Overall the decks have similar card draw options while mono white having slightly more synergy and a better mana base
Beans is by far the better choice imo. It triggers more than once each turn, harder to get rid of and cheaper and draws you already a card as it enters. Gonna try this deck today out, I'm not a control player but this looks fun
@@Skelotaurus I play mono white for a while now and I can assure you that drawing 1 card from each innocence and 1 from each caretaker on my turn and my opponents turn is more than enough to have at least 7 cards in hand all the time. And Innocence usually becomes an enchantment as well, if it is targeted by anoint you can use get lost on it to make sure it becomes an enchantment while triggering caretaker with the map tokens. Just trying to warn you that the additional wildcards might not be worth it
@@Clarity251 wasting a get lost on own creatures isn't great but in a mono white of course enduring innocence is the better choice but not in domain or like that it's just fodder for removal or exile
I was playing ranked just before with one of my original creations and a guy beat me with this deck and emoted me the whole time..... Like bruh you just copied this shit off the Internet... And here it is randomly appearing in my UA-cam feed
I came for the deck, and stayed for the hero we didn't deserve. Long live Terry.
We need Terry in 2025

Please get Terry's deck list and play that behemoth
Terry is playing EDH in standard...wow
terry is an absolute unit lol
A wise man once said “Oh lord, lord please, oh lord jeez, whatya-whatya-whatya doin Terry?!
I haven’t watched the video yet but I can’t wait to find out why everyone seems to love Terry
Terry is CGB's redemption against DiDZTM's prismatic bridge.
Prismatic brioche
I wanted that prismatic bridge deck so freaking bad.
Terry’s match was the most entertaining match I’ve seen in a long time! Love lunatic brewers!
I found myself rooting for Terry at the end lol
Then, there was Terry, and his almighty deck on insanity...but in an insane world,an insane deck it's the answer!
I was the mono black in game 1! I didn't even notice I was playing against you because I was on my phone at work. Much love CGB, you're my favorite MTG content creator out there
Really the best cgb in that second game, sharp, focused and so punchable!
Also cool deck by Terry, nice try with portent
Terry's an absolute beast! Definitely a standard match for the ages.
Terry what a game! Legendary
Scary terry
A token deck that plays sweepers, what a day to be alive
The white overloard also triggers both beans and talent, seems like it would fit good
Also 1 mana cheeper for the imprint cost as caracal and hits late game also with tokens
Terry being hoisted by his own portent is poetic. Poor terry
Great video. I want that swamp style.😅
A cat lord in a rabbit's deck. Master of synergies

😂 Always enjoyable watching your videos ! Thanks dude ! "Need a glass of water!" 😅
34:02 The realization
Caked up 😂
I would prefer Overlord of the Mistmoors over Regal Caracal.

Came to the comments for Terry, wasn’t disappointed
Best content creator hands down

Is Terry playing a Gladiator deck? I wasn't checking if they were singleton
Terry was running an 82 card deck. Not sure if it was a Yorion deck without the bird, or what.
Terry!!!!
I need that Terry deck profile
That was obviously Terry Crews.
no justice for terry the brewer. good game!
What do we say to the gods of prismatic bridge? Not today!
Instead of Regal Caracal, maybe a pair of Doubling Season could be put in this deck?
Glad to see CGB in standard...can we get him on this channel every day so we can get some daily standard again? #RememberTheGoodTimes
I faced Terry once and lost when he was on 1 for like 10 turns was so pissed
Terry!!! NOOOO!!! 😢
Terry, the real MVP.

Deck looks nice but I see it having a really hard time against aggro decks

Matchmaker destroyed this deck after 3 games. Was never competitive again.
Olive oil has too low of a smoke point, you need to use vegetable oil!!! Make sure to keep checking your temps on the chicken!
another member to not get sucked into decks you see on this channel, the matches are curated to literally show you only wins
I was playing ranked just before with one of my original creations and a guy beat me with this deck and emoted me the whole time..... Like bruh you just copied this shit off the Internet... And here it is randomly appearing in my UA-cam feed
Finally stopped playing garbage like Brawl, now I can't watch again.
fix the deck shuffler already.
