Very cool. Nice that he was able to save it with the parts that were on it. If he uses a torque converter gokart style clutch on the engine rather than the centrifical it will work as intended and gear it down for plowing. Just have to get a symetrical one i guess to match the driven pulley and the correct belt size.
Somewhat reminiscent of the David Brown model 2D light horticultural tractor, though the 2D had four wheels, twin cylinder two-stroke diesel engine and pneumatic lift mechanism. The driver was more or less mid-mounted, and the controls were configured to replicate those of a standard agricultural tractor. Built about the same time, and likewise in low numbers, the 2D is a rare beast. A machine that should have made it, could have made it, but for whatever reason didn't quite hit the spot. Wisconsin Engines? My dad, a British veteran of WW2, used to swear by them! He loved them.
TheViewFromUpHere : Totally ill-conceived and poorly designed piece of crap! Why would anyone spend any more time on it than it took to throw it over a cliff? $600 new?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If I had this it would be working in the field I wonder if you could do a hayfield with something like this after all it is a cultivator I bet you could at least get the ground turned over for your seed
So funny how the '' marshall-plan'' and US influence made it able for us European interesants and enthusiasts to have old American vehicles in our counties Not uncommon to see old Ferguson's and Deers still running around Both of my uncles has large farms and several American vehicles
Looks like a good way to get your leg broke in a rollover. This thing is so Eugene, its functionally useless and dangerous, but it has that weird minimalist "aesthetic" hipsters love.
Glad they saved that from being scrapped. Loved the dog making a beeline for the exit when the tractor was started.
Good work! Now THIS is real history.
@2:55 the dog is like "I'm outta here folks!"
Thats pretty cool glad it was saved! Great work. It will be worth a lot of money one day may already be.
Very cool
We just found ome of these on my grand dads farm. We had no idea what it was. Thanks for the information
Nice!
Parin garden tractors were also made in Oregon.
My dad had one, probably back in the 1940s.

reminds me of the David Bradley tractors.

Steve Johnson just took this baby home today! 1-22-22
Good old days when everyone made Tractors.
I was definitely worth saving 👍🇺🇸
That thing is sweet!

Id love one of those
Beautiful machine nice restoration
Good job !!!
Cheaper built without a differential. But works for what it was designed for. Pretty cool.
That reminds me of the Slingshot car. “That they don’t make anymore”
Great restoration job!
Neat design.
We had a dog named Tippy. He only had 3 feet. That was 40 years ago.
Cool
I want one.
Wish I had one
I libe In Eugene Oregon well Elmira but very clos to ur
Wonderfully reminiscent of the earlier days of simpler technology.
When announcers had to shout into microphones to be properly heard.
Worked so well that there was only demand for 12 or less of them.

@@bill091086$600 was alot of money back in 1950. There's a little thing called inflation that $600 would be $6300 dollars now.
BIG TRACTOR had them shut down because they were afraid of the competition...
I wondered if it has a variable speed drive - so one forward and 1 reverse would be plenty :)
less than 20 total build. Friday Tractor built more Power Hoes a year for 20 years.

Looks as if it should have plowed two rolls of beans with the back wheel in center of the balk!
If this is a single row cultivator how can the back tire not be running over the row you're cultivating?

"Cultivate 15 acres a day" You'd need a bloody long day!
It would be interesting to see it work why don’t you lower the plow
On the tippy tie
Jim was last seen headed to the liquor store on a three wheel tractor.
@Jim McCracken whew, that's good news we were forming a minibike posse to go huntin for ya!
After hearing about the bevel drive I take it back...
Neet 👍
Pretty Obvious why they only sold a few dozen 😃
Reply to Brad not Landa
DANG!!!
My blackberries only make berries, thorns, packrat nests and ground squirrel mounds.
Alian tractor design
Wish i was a farmer just so i could ride one of those
You don't need a farm to drive it just a butt for the seat.
@@allenmckinney9533 know what?, you're right Allen, think i'll buy a cheap one to have fun with 👍

2 front / 1 rear is your only hope for making a stable 3-wheel vehicle. And even so, the CoG is really critical.
My buddie has on of those i think but im not sure if its the same brand his is a david bradly i think
Cultivate 15 acres of beans per day? lol
centrifugal clutch and a fractional brigs............its a goofy looking go-cart
Just to let you know their called lawn tractors not gardon tractors
That is one ugly contraption! Totally looks garage made and dangerous! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Very cool
Nice!
