I got an insane opportunity recently to check out the 2021 Mercedes AMG #GT53 & boy was I blown away. (WARNING: No test drive due to liability reasons!!) Its 3.0L inline 6-cylinder pumps out 429hp, and catapults the four door coupe to 60mph in just 4.1 seconds. A quartet of cars comprise the GT lineup: the new-for-2021 #GT43 ($90,950 w/ 362hp), the GT53 ($101,000 w/ 429hp), the #GT63 ($142,650 w/ a V8 & 577hp) and the top dog #GT63S ($163,950 w/ a V8 & 630hp) - the GT63S rockets to 60 in a mind boggling 2.9 seconds (Car & Driver stats, Mercedes quotes 3.1 seconds). There isn’t a bad choice in the GT lineup, with 4MATIC standard across all models. AMG has stuffed this car with sporty brakes, suspension, fat wheels, large 21” AMG-forged cross spoke black rims...and so much more. On the inside, room for just 4, because after all it is a “coupe” - lots of tech, an overwhelming amount of options in the impressive #MBUX infotainment system, massage seats, carbon fiber everywhere...it’s a dream! I wouldn’t consider the 53 a supercar, that title goes to the 63 S.

This gt53 looks like mine. Except mine is matt grey and has the v8 styling. I love my gt53 and will keep it for many many years.
It's interesting what kind of changes mercedes made for the usa. My gt53 doesn't have a touchscreen, wireless charger is somewhere else etc..

@@teemo988 well I didn‘t had any issues with the car. Something was wrong with the climatecontrol but they fixed it for free.
The car has good sound, is great to drive it in sport but also in comfort. Would have been perfect if it would have rear wheel steering because the car is pretty long. You can‘t do anything wrong with this car it‘s really good

Where did you get a GT53 with carbon fiber trim, CF steering wheel and massage seats? I’ve been to 4 MB dealers and they said they can’t configure a 53 with this combo.

How is the experience of owning it so far?
The button that says R on the door isn’t to turn on and off the heated/cooled seats. It’s so you can move the passenger seat back and forth with your seat controls on the drivers side.

The 2020 looked way better. This new front fascia looks like an old man with his dentures out trying to smile (once you see it, you can’t unsee it). I’m actually on the market and was considering this car, but the ‘21 is just so uninspired.
