And then, there's the girl died twice in Zero world line to lead to Operation Skuld.

I’d rather ignore that much weaker series. Frankly the story works without it and in some ways is just plain better. Didn’t need anything ridiculous for Okabe to go down the road this show sets out. Surviving, struggling, and the creation of the time machine. And honestly it’s far better to have Mayuri snap Okabe out of it like she did in this episode without anything extra. His impact on her life was profound enough as it was. The concept of Zero was fine. But it wasn’t all that well done or necessary.

the visual novel was life-changing, and steins;gate 0 was euphoric
steins;gate is the anime of that decade in my heart.
