I drive a 02 7.3 and if your pulling anything you definitely need to upgrade the trans cooler. Smart choice

Great video, great detail. Thanks for doing all of the research. Just clicked on the link and order the parts. I hope it keeps the transmission at least 30 degrees cooler. Anything is better than the stock cooler that is in the 7.3 you would have thought they would have put a larger one in the truck in the first place , since most people are towing trailers with the truck...lol.. anyway thanks for this video it was greatly appreciated !

Would it really matter how the lines were hooked back up to the new cooler? I wouldn't think it would make a difference unless there is a check valve or some kind of backflow preventer. I just ordered all the same stuff and will be tacking this job next week. Great video, will be referencing it during my install!

Did my swap and it’s still over heating even with new 6.0 trans cooler new hoses new trans filter and new fluid and not over filled. No slipping in gears and still overheating just confused at this point. Any ideas?

Nice video, thinking about doing this for my '99 F-350 before I pull my camper to Gatlinburg this July. I've already done the Derale Transmission Cooling pan but want to make sure I can handle the mountains. On a side note, what brand headlights do you have and have you noticed any condensation issues with them?
